Remy Ma's jail house nuptials were abruptly called off Monday when her rapper groom Papoose showed up with a most curious wedding present: a handcuff key.

"A wedding was scheduled today and a visitor to that wedding service was found to be in possession of jail contraband so the wedding was canceled," a corrections official told the Daily News.

"The key that was found today easily opened handcuffs that we and other law enforcement officials use," the official said.

The Brooklyn-born Papoose - real name Shamele Mackie - won't be able to see his finance now until November.

"The visitor was sanctioned by not being able to visit Rikers Island again for 6 months," the official said. "He was asked to leave."

So was Papoose trying break his rap queen, whose real name is Remy Smith, out of the...

Kool Herc Filing $5 Billion Lawsuit Against Jay-Z & others

Quote:
A man known as the father of hip-hop, Clive Campbell (a.k.a. D.J. Kool Herc), is seeking $5 billion from rapper Jay-Z, developer Bruce Ratner and Barclays bank, filing a “claim of lien” in property records that seeks the money for slavery reparations.
Mr. Ratner, Jay-Z, and Barclay’s are all linked through the $4 billion Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn, for which Mr. Ratner plans to build a Frank Gehry-designed basketball arena for the Nets and more than 6,000 apartments. Jay-Z, a partial owner of the Nets, has been a major supporter of the project, appearing at press conferences to tout its merits. Barclays owns the naming rights to the arena, and has been accused of having links with the slave trade—an accusation the bank denies.
In the claim, Mr. Campbell said that Mr. Ratner and Jay-Z worked “in concert” with Barclays, and “profited from the African Slave Trade...

Quote:
PHOENIX (Reuters) - Rapper Lil Wayne was arrested for felony drug possession early on Wednesday when his charter bus was stopped at a California-Arizona border checkpoint, authorities said.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was arrested in southwestern Arizona on suspicion of possessing cocaine and ecstasy, as well as drug paraphernalia, authorities said. He was being held in Yuma County Jail on a $10,185 bond.

Two other passengers on the bus, Curtis Stewart and Harold Johnson, were arrested for marijuana possession, said Capt. Eben Bratcher, a Yuma County Sheriff's spokesman.

Border patrol agents stopped the bus at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday after a dog alerted them to possible drugs on board, Bratcher said.

The bus, with 12 people on board, had been traveling east from California.

A further inspection found 105 grams (3.7 ounces) of marijuana, 29 grams (1 ounce) of cocaine, 41 grams (1.45 ounces) of ecstasy and more than $22,000,...

Posted Nov 6th 2007 3:23PM by TMZ Staff
The coast is clear for Diddy in New York -- he won't be charged by the Manhattan D.A. for allegedly brawling in a nightclub ... with his so-called friend.

In a statement to TMZ, Diddy's attorney Benjamin Brafman says: "I've been informed by the Manhattan District Attorney's office that after a thorough investigation, they have made a decision not to authorize any arrests in connection with the incident involving Mr. Combs and Steven Acevedo on October 13. I want to commend the D.A.'s office and the New York City Police... Read More...
