This is a long shot, but i am trying to recall the name of a song / and artists i heard on yo mtv raps a long time ago!

It was between 1993 - 1994, it is a rap duo - two kids, and they had a really cathy song with the lyrics:

"Back in the day when i was a teenager..."

I think there is a cameo apperance by Fred the hammer and snoop dog?

Hopefully this helps im not sure if there was a real video for this song/brings back memories for others. I sure as hell remember when this shit was out. One of my earliest memories of hip-hop.

Nah, its none of those - i have searched the hiphop lyric forums for the lyrics and can't find it.

Im sure the name of the band was ILLEGAL - it was a two man band - both in their teens.

It was definantly west coast rap.

There are no teenage duos in that time period. Or any teenage duos at all, for that matter. Other then Kris Kross in their latter years.
