gonna be droppin in a sec...cause i wont have time later...

I open my eyes to sunlight abroad
Stretchin from wall to wall
Waking up but my brain's still lost
Reprecussions are my fault

I emptied bottles in despair
Running from the pain
Like as if it wasnt there
Hoping things would change
Cause in this life Im scared

I break down with tears dwelling
No hope runs in these veins
My soul I feel like selling
And wishing that death came

No money, no job, no security
No help from family
And my debts will bury me
I cant escape this self tragedy
Im starving but at least I wont go thirsty

As I walk out the door to another day
Rags to riches I wish was true
As the neighbourhood kids laugh at me as they play
No answer to the question "what do you do??"

Prepared for another day of panhandling on the curb
I found a corner thats promising at best
On a piece of cardboard I write these words
"Spare Change, If You Have Any Left"
Then a nickel drops in my hat first

I doze off to heat and exhaustion
And didnt notice the man in the distance
Who had been sittin there watching
Like it was his business

The he walked over and handed me a letter
But told me to open it later when I got home
He said as he walked away, "Things will be better"
And like that I was left alone
No company to me, not now, not ever

Got home and opened the letter, somethings inside
Took a quick glance and realized it was a cheque
For a large amount of money that would change my life
I guess thats what you get when a "SIGN OF FAITH" saves you from death

i guess he aint droppin...oh well...looks like im the only one to drop this week...
