I don't know how familiar y'all are with the concept of the topical battle...basically the two (or more) people involved choose a topic and write some stuff about it...an example is the tourney I'm in right now at another board: me and my opponent were both given the topic of "being on Death Row, about to die..." so the winner of the battle is whoever tells the best story about the sitauation in question.
The advantage of the topical battle is simple: some of us just aren't battle MCs. I could write a passable battle verse but no way I'm going anywhere battling, and I'm sure there's plenty of cats at this board who feel like they're obliged to battle and would welcome the chance to do something a bit more creative with their skillz.
So, this is just an idea and probably not enough people will be down for it but I thought it'd be worth rbinging up: anyone who wants a topical tourney and would be willing to drop a verse (and wouldn't just no-show and cop out) reply here. I'm not bothered about being put in charge, although I could think up some topic ideas, as could everyone else involved. But I'm just putting the idea out there for now.

I agree with ya. Thats me, im not realy the battle type but i do time to time for fun. I like to write. but any ways just so ya know thier are topical matches in the battle league. and soon to be a topical title.
