As I sit here on the couch listening to Jay-z's Kingdom Come for the 2nd time since I downloaded it after it came out, I started to wonder about how other people listen to music, especially music they haven't heard before. Most of the time when I'm on this site posting and reading threads, I won't be listening to anything, because I feel like I need to really be focused on the music to get the most from it. I feel that when I'm high or drunk (but mainly high), I get so much more into the music I'm listening to. I get so engrained in the lyrics. Everything just seems to sound slower and better, so I'm able to digest each bar and analyze it when im blazed. Heaven, for me, is having a fat blunt, my itunes with about 7000 songs on it, and either my big expensive earphones or my stereo system on blast. I would just sit back, smoke a blunt, and stare at the ceiling while listening to rap music.

I'd listen to it every minute of the day if interaction with other people wasn't necessary.

Haha same here. When I'm listening to a new CD or one of my favorite's there's nothing better then smoking a Philly and lying down on my bed listenin' to the shit on my stereo. It's not even that the weed get's me more focused on the music (don't get me wrong, it does), it's just that it's so relaxing to have a nice smoke while lying down listening to some bangin' music.

I agree with you, I love listening to music in my car (even though i drive a Toyota Camry with a shitty stereo :/ ). But I recently has surgery on my right foot, and haven't been able to drive all Summer long, so I haven't been doing much of that.

But before the summer, when I was at school... man school was so much fun. There were so many people I met at my freshman year of college who all had the same taste my music that I do. One of my boys pushed sour diesel during the fall semester and would smoke us up on it daily. Since we lived in the dorms, and he happened to keep his Acura TL or whatever kind of car it was at school (he lives in New York, this school is in Maryland), we would jump in his car and drive off campus to blaze. Man, we would go on the illest blunt rides. This kid was filthy rich (his father is like, the director of Law & Order, legit), so his car was tricked out and he had a DOPE sound system, and he had like 2 150+ CD books, all great CD's. I'm moving into an appartment with this kid and another one of our boys in a couple months, but I'm going up to New York to visit them and were going to the Rock The Bells concert on the 28th at Randall's Island.

Online the name is Noyze and I was ranked 7 & 15 (3 at one point). If you check you'll probably see my name still there although I don't play the old versions anymore.

There's something wrong with my computer and I know exactly what it is, but technically, I can't hear music from it. So basically, I BURN Cds all the time and listen to them from my CD player. If I like what I hear, I keep them on my computer. If I don't, I delete them. I usually listen to music almost all the time though. When I'm on the computer, I'm listening. When I'm cooking, I'm listening. When I'm driving, I'm listening. When I'm doing homework, I'm listening. I cannot go to sleep without music bumpin' in my ears. I listen to all sorts of music. It just depends on my mood and what I'm doing at the moment. My computer is getting fixed, and once that's done.. then I guess I'll be listening to music directly from my speakers all the time like I used to before.
