..Well, I'm takin' my stubborn ass bacc to school starting today and I had to take out a loan to do it..

..It was relatively simple. You definitely have to fill out the FAFSA. The other information is pretty straight-forward and is usually done with the Financial Advisor. Make sure you read everything and understand the differences between the Subsidized and Unsubsidized loans and the grace period you have to pay them. Pay attention to interest rates - Variable or Fixed..

..They have the PLUS Pre-Approval where your parent(s)/guardian(s) can sign to have their credit history taken into consideration which helps your chances quite a bit (given the fact that their credit is better than yours, of course). Some universities, like the one I enrolled in, will have an alternative loan in case you don't get the Sub or Unsub due to credit. With their alternative, the institution will act as the "Guarantor" and you'd more than likely get the loan; it's just more to pay bacc and I believe they have a higher interest rate..

..Credit always plays a part, but they will mroe than likely find a way to get you a loan if they really want your money. After all, college is a business..

the interest rates on those astrive loans are crazy tho,.... just to give u the heads up..... lookin @ the date i guess u already did what u have to do.. but to fill u in

this girl at my schol took out a loan for 8 stacks... by the time it comes time to pay it back.. she wouldve paid back 24 k....

not all at once obviously but over the payment period factoring interest rates and all that mumbo jumbo

its like they got u by the balls.. they kno u need the money... and they give it to u.. but they def get theres back wit a whole lot more
