Way I see it:
He has the flow of Eminem, lyrically and vocabulary-wise untouchable, freestyles can't even be compared to anyone out now, and he isn't a fake gangsta rapper like Ja Rule and Big Tymers or whatever they call themselves now. He is better than most people in every category.
But I can understand why the people who like 50 Cent, Snoop, Warren G, and Kurupt, don't like him, probably has just a little bit too much intelligence in his rhymes for them.
For everyone else, Why??

Not how well he fits on with the beat, but how easy it is for him to get on and off of one to the other. I mean just look at Poet Laureate 2, he went on 3 different, consistant, beats.
Canibus is my favorite rapper, but not all of his stuff is perfect. I didn't like the beat to 100 Bars, but the lyrics were undeniably "out of this world". On Lost @ C I wasn't feeling some of the things he said, but that doesn't mean he hasn't come far since then.
I don't deny that what you said was right, but even if he doesn't fit on his beats, can you show me someone with deeper or more intelligent lyrics?
Ohh, that reminds me, some guy gave me a good reason why he isn't the best.

That is true, but its almost like saying someone with no lyrics and good beats means something....
Its all in what type of rap music you like. I personally like the Canibus-esque style, and I also like the "Living Legends, Eyedea, Aesop Rock, Planet Asia-type" too.
