So, I was downloadin' a porno and a couple of songs with Limewire Pro, that I d/lded from Limewire(everybody knows the "trick"). A link kept comin up askin me to update to Limewire 4.14, so I eventually clicked thinkin of faster downloads etc. So when Limewire updates it gets rid of the old version. But to my undelighted surprise it gave me Limewire Basic. Lesson learned...

Exactly the same thing happened to me, the update thing kept popping up even when i clicked "later" 5mins previously, so i clicked update now.. and it's fucking useless, has about 1/4 the amount of songs/video's when searching and hardly any sources, and takes so much longer to search.. and i can't find pro to download now, fuck im annoyed at this shit.

I deleted it all......Now im fuckin with only albumbase, utorrent, or soulseek from now on

i'm so glad i don't resort to limewire anymore. my computer was really starting to suffer.

Limewire pro is all good, nobody knows how to get it because they think they have to pay for it.
Every other music download source people have mentioned in here is not even half as good as limewire pro, no joke.
They're either to complex and annoying to use, don't have enough sources, or freeze up all the time, or you have to pay for them.

Soulseek is just as good as limewire as long as you have a good internet connection and you have files to share as well.

weird my friend's little brother tried downloading a later version of limewire through a basic version and it made his computer crash =))
