I've messed with Fruity Loops and FL seems to be the easiest to deal with...IMO......

But I'm not very good at making beats... SO I could be wrong!

This reminds me of a thread someone created on newgrounds.com.

"What's a good program to make music on?!"

"MS Paint"

it's really all on preference.... you can start on whatever you want because well... your just starting... dont be so lazy and research programs for it... then try them out... see what you like... and go from there... hunnid cats will tell u hunnid different programs that they found out THEY prefer.... all u gone end up doin is tryin it.... findin out u probably prefer a different program/way of making beats.... or u might be completely comfortable with the choice....

honestly whoever would be complicated beginning on reason probably needs to take a deep breath and realize... its a computer program... not the secret to life... strictly a computer program... might "appear" complicated at first glance... but all u need to do is pay attention and learn really...

Cubase is as complicated as you want it to be...
Id recommend it

well i agree that reason can be a little intimidating in the beginnig... but from my experience it was the easiest to learn... it is true that i havent done anything on frootyloops for a long time... and they have improved a lot! but if u really want something u shouldnt stop at the simple things... dig deeper!

logic is also really cool (easy and good) but i dont think u can have it on pc!
