BRITNEY Spears is desperate to pay whatever it costs to retrieve an XXX-rated tape of her naked holiday romp before it ends up on the Internet.

The fallen pop princess fears the “dynamite” film of her one-night stand with a mystery hunk will end her hopes of ever getting her kids back.

And the 25-year-old singer is in such a state that pals fear if she fails to get the tape she might even try to kill herself.

The unnamed 28-year-old hawking the footage of his night with the star has promised bidders it makes Paris Hilton’s infamous home-made sex movie look tame.

He has boasted the raunchy action in a holiday bungalow in Hawaii is spicier than any professionally-made adult movie.

One pal said: “This is bad, bad news for Britney. They say it takes three bad blows to send you over the edge. Britney’s had about half-a-dozen in two years.

This is the second sex-tape scandal to hit the troubled star – she is said to have made an x-rated tape with former husband Kevin Federline, 29, which has so far stayed under wraps.

The latest revelations came with Britney reeling at being ordered on Monday to hand over sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, to K Fed.

The custody sage was back in court in LA yesterday, with Britney struggling to win over furious judge Scott Gordon after blatantly ignoring his strict conditions for keeping her boys.

She was supposed to sign a document to undergo psychological tests by Monday or appear in court, but did neither.

She was also meant to submit proof she had a valid California driving licence but failed to do so and still drove her kids.

She finally got a licence on Tuesday. But the final straw for Gordon came last week when she was seen drinking just hours before picking her kids up – after he had ordered her to stay booze-free before taking custody.

Britney also ignored legal experts who urged her to focus on the court case – instead posing for a magazine photoshoot on Tuesday before driving legally to her Malibu mansion with new personal assistant Sam Lufti.
