i jus thave a basic sound card built into my motherboard

im using realtek hd as a sound driver

i plug in the cheapo mic i have been using for years

it records ok

but it wont let em play the track and record at the same time...

if i try it...it literally records the track again over what im tryin to say

my computer is new so i dont know whats going on..

i have messed with this for 2 hours now and cant figure it out

any idea????

it ain't your computer. it's the software.

i've never used the program before, but you might have to add a new track/channel before you decide to record over your voice.

yeah i know what you mean. It could mean your default recording sound driver isn't the same as your playback sound driver.
