Ight im on a comap 6715b laptop and im tryna burn an audio cd. I got it to work ONCE but then it fucked up in the middle and only recorded a couple of the songs. Now i cant get it to burn at all, and alota times it says theres no writeable drive and shit. Can anyone help me with this.

Your burning software may not be detecting your burner Model
this could affect they discs it thinks its compatible with
try using NERO 7
and making sure you drivers are updated

^iv tired alota diffrent software i think my computer aint picking up the burner even though it came installed with it. The system information says its a Hl-dT-St-DvDrAm-gSa-t20N i cant find any drivers for it though. I dont get it, it didnt work before i got it to work once now i cant get it to work again.

Just lettin you know that real-time speed is best for a cd... less audio errors
But anyways... the most simple program to burn a cd with is probably iTunes. It tries to burn most sample rates of songs where as Windows Media Player skips the less common bitrates

Try using alcohol 120%. That software is THE GOD of CD burning and its complety free from the net legally. If that doesn't work then you've got either a dodgey CD-RW drive or a dodgey control bus/control bus connection to the CD-RW drive. Easiest thing to do is open up your PC box, and try the bus in another device to see if it works, if it does then you know its your CDRW that's nackered.
-That's what a company like PC world would do, except they'd charge you £80 for the privelage!

go to umm control panel>system>device tabs>down to like your cd rw drive .. and just reinstall the drivers hopefully that helps
