View Full Version : Theres only 1 boy above tupac and biggie
elmo902 10-14-2007, 08:44 PM and it's BIG L! His flow and lyrics and freestyles are the best I have ever heard. RIP
He got shot dead before he could make it big, he would of been at the same level as pac or big , but he never got the chance to show the world.

Mista Dobalina 10-14-2007, 08:47 PM No...
elmo902 10-14-2007, 08:50 PM I did already before I posted this but it didn't show anything up.
mageisgreat 10-14-2007, 09:02 PM theres no point in saying this. In all honesty, Big L is probably my favorite emcee. But the way the world is, its like you have to think Big and Pac are the best, so when I tell people I enjoy pun and L as much as notorious, they go haywire. L had punchlines you can qoute 10 years after, and had story telling songs that can go up with Notorious's. Both notorious and L has 5/5 albums to me, from production to smoothe ass wordplay. But yeah, dont ever bother arguing L is better then pac or biggie, cause in historys eyes they are the best, and I do love both of them.
Woods 10-14-2007, 09:03 PM Big L is better than tupac in most aspects. But I wouldn't say that he is comparable to Biggie. They were both amazing lyricists and I think that Big L would not have had a huge impact on hip hop like that of Biggie. Not to say that he didn't have a large impact, because he was amazing and was fucking praised while he was alive.
~Filosofical P~ 10-14-2007, 09:03 PM L's flow wasn't aint better than Bigs
NO WAY.
elmo902 10-14-2007, 09:12 PM I agree with you mageisgreat so much. I think biggie and L's flow was comparable but in other aspects such as freestyling and punchlines. I think L was better but Biggie and L are my two favour rappers. Tupac third. I agree with you too woods but he didnt really have a chance to make an impact. =(
Ama-gi 10-14-2007, 09:12 PM Pac > BIG > A lot of cats > Big L
shutup b4 I tickle you.
Ama-gi 10-14-2007, 09:13 PM Big L is better than tupac in most aspects. But I wouldn't say that he is comparable to Biggie. They were both amazing lyricists and I think that Big L would not have had a huge impact on hip hop like that of Biggie. Not to say that he didn't have a large impact, because he was amazing and was fucking praised while he was alive.
in what aspects other than punchlines??
lmao...
So Big L was better than Pac at story telling, club bangers, inspirational, and female tracks???
keep dreaming.
Juice. 10-14-2007, 09:18 PM Biggie had the better flow and the better delivery.
Pac had the better subject matter.
Big L had better multies and better wordplay.
Cengiz 10-14-2007, 09:20 PM What an original thread.. look at all the lurkers who have signed up just to have there say on the matter.. i vote lock it.
Ama-gi 10-14-2007, 09:20 PM ^ I'll agree
edit: @ Juice
Woods 10-14-2007, 09:24 PM in what aspects other than punchlines??
ok I would say Big L is a much better "story teller" than tupac. The entire Lifestylez album is a perfect example. Big L was probably just as inspirational as Tupac was in his time, just in different places. But for whatever its worth tupac had his "female songs" idk if that makes him better but he does have them. So tupac may have had his greater share of fans but in my eyes Big L was the greater rapper here and if he didn't die so fucking quick then the world would have had a chance to see that.
Ama-gi 10-14-2007, 09:25 PM lol....
ok
AlphaOmega123 10-14-2007, 09:32 PM Apples oranges and pears,
Pac stuck to solid concepts which often had some political base to them and was usually better at them than big or Big L.
Big L was a punchline rapper and was usually better at them then pac or BIG
Big was a story telling rapper who liked to paint pictures he was usually better at those than pac or Big L.
Sorry but completely different mc's I don't think they are comparable all three flowed nicely but different, all three had nice deliveries I could feel but were different and all three had dope lyrics but were different.
.ScottishHead 10-14-2007, 09:54 PM Why is BIG and Pac in your top 3 or assume that they are in everybody elses, because someone told you have them there?
No need to answer, but just keep in mind, that there are some people who can think for themselves.
Tommy Bunz 10-14-2007, 10:15 PM This shit is mad tired...debating the differences between L, Big and Pac....
They were all amazing emcees. Leave it at that. This shit is pointless
X-NINE 10-14-2007, 10:20 PM They were all amazing emcee's
Agreed
Close thread
Clutch 10-14-2007, 10:20 PM Big L was not better than pac or biggie. He maybe could of been but we will never know.
elmo902 10-15-2007, 12:08 AM Ok agreed, close.
