View Full Version : White rappers who don't suck
AlphaOmega123 10-15-2007, 11:08 PM Few and far in between I'd like to nominate someone I think who is often overlooked.
Lyrically he was the first white Mc who'd fuck you up on the mic His name was Mc serch.
I recall him with nas and chubb rock holding his own on "to the grill"
I did not notice he had a re-release until I was reading at rapreviews and they had this unreleased collection of tracks they have an excerp there I'd like to quote
"Sit down, stick around, I'm about to rip it out the frame kid
Same name plus plus the same game kid
Ain't nuttin changed 'cept the day to day, the year, the season
For whatever reason, a misfit in my lyrical profession
The ghetto's a profession so why can't we get a pension?
So my expression anger plus tension to begin
I'm dangerous like dangerous like a mob in a building
Right now I'm chillin
Livin in the Land-o-Lakes, cause my flow is butter from the start
Called your girl Napoleon, the way she ripped the +Boneparte+
I'm skilled in the trade so the parade ain't tryin to evade
the kid who ain't been slayed since the third grade
Beats and flow I handle so they're parallel
Never have I fell and if I have an L there goes the power cell
HOW IN DA HELL, can I change the world I'm one man?
But if hell is how, maybe now I can get a suntan"
M.any Y.oung L.ives A.go: The 1994 Sessions
I have yet to hear this but must find it anyway I thought that'd be a good start to the list.. this man was way the hell ahead of his time..
.ScottishHead 10-15-2007, 11:18 PM MC Serch has done more for hip hop than most rappers have even thought about doing.
AlphaOmega123 10-15-2007, 11:20 PM Now I'm remembering the white rapper show... man was that something terrible.. I'da like to see him battle all of those people at once lol
Plug Zero 10-15-2007, 11:23 PM meh Pete Nice was better, hah!
AlphaOmega123 10-15-2007, 11:25 PM Flow wise pete nice was decent lyrically though he was.... was... I don't know mediocore...
Nice and smooth... Gotta find that shit.. somewhere under my bed
.ScottishHead 10-15-2007, 11:35 PM Edan.
Syllable Practice
"[ VERSE 1 ]
The renegade radical, demonstrates battle drill
Efficiency and dedication through placement
Of syllable swords directly where umbilical cords were chopped when
Little kids were put up for adoption
Torture the orphan, I'll toss the forster kid
Waterlogged monologues and cross your faucet
Tap water lyricist, receive a rap slaughter hearin this
Perceive the prince where the mirror is
Expel tears and sweat to build pyramids
Irrigate, irritated orators excel
Extend ornaments to torment your tournament
Fortify five midgets in four to five mintues
Organize clinics that's short of more than five misfits
Mystic, I'm the sort of guy with tricks
Shift with the times until the stars burn out
Until then building with iller syllable workouts
[ CHORUS ]
Syllable practice is never a chore, never a bore
Immature literature litters the floor
I figured you for a biggot before
But don't be bitter and sore
Just spit and record meticulous thoughts
Syllable practice is never a task
Clever attacks left competitors waxed, steady get lax
So I fed em a fax, tellin em facts, propellin repetitive tracks
And feminie raps to the kennel for snacks
[ VERSE 2 ]
The potent practicioner opens rap listeners
Broke the facsimile, focus activities
Folks collapse, quotes who slap enemies
Who pretend to be essentially assembling assemblance
Of ambiance that's seminal to confidence
I lend it all to consonants that tenderize your counterfeits
The pendelum is bound to flip
You're tremblin and doubtin if
Adrenaline amounts to dick
When petty methodists attack your semi-definite
Tackle any deficit, rap mentally effortless
Backpeddling pessimist with venomous predicates
Benefit the nemesis with red-cent percentages of sentences
The anarchist enters the vortex of unexplored text
Forestep, surgically deconstruct, verbally decompose
Listen when the deacon flows, even so
Syllables are only half the battle
The river I deliver's metaphoric so you never have to paddle
[ CHORUS ]
Syllable practice is never a task
Clever attacks left competitors waxed, steady get lax
So I fed em a fax, tellin em facts, propellin repetitive tracks
And feminie raps to the kennel for snacks
Syllable practice is never a chore, never a bore
Immature literature litters the floor
I figured you for a biggot before
But don't be bitter and sore
Just spit and record meticulous thoughts"
Fumbling Over Words That Rhyme
[Verse 1]
Mad rap user, game made under pressure
Expose the jewel teeth, school at my leisure
Fumble over words that rhyme with a verse divine
I backtrack and think of the greatest of all-time
Class is in session, master this lesson
Teacher was a student, studied like a Buddhist
But few went on the best to do it
So let's do this
[Drum Break]
Nothin' to it
Considered the first emcee to blow the spot
and do what was Coke La Rock spittin' for Kool Herc
Followin' the influence and heard from more parties
Brothas like Cowboy made you move your body
Cowboy would toast for the G and Flash
And his skills elevated as crews started to clash
Flash and Bam, they both saw clientele
So Flash formed the Four with the father Melle Mel
Four became Five, more became live
Routines on the breaks, crew kings motivate
After L the brothers became Fantastic
With Theodore they battled the Cold Crush Four
Few had the confidence of G. MC
Without the CCB's [Cold Crush Brothers] there'd be no Run-DMC
The Funky and the Fearless Four forced emcees to small Spoonie G
And I can't forget the Treacherous Three MC's
[Hook]
[Verse 2]
"Props to the Kool Moe Dee, he elevated
and changed the r-records like the new rap language
Before the first four length LP's
There was abstract brothas like the one from LZ
Run DMC broke crew in '83
Outta Queens, started rapping hard over drum machines
808's started shakin' up floors ["The World is Yours" Sample]
We takin' rock's complex metaphors ["T La Rock" Sample]
A primary influence on L.L. Cool J
T La Rock's futurism must've been respectable
'Cuz Tragedy from Queens was young but very technical
Sham was eloquent, Chris was intelligent
The 'R' was all of the above with added elements
Slick Rick the Ruler was a street-made producer
Ultramagnetic had the vision for the future
Big Daddy Kane getting raw at The Appolo and
Kool G Rap was probably the sickest of all of them
Jaz from the BK, Mercy and Finesse from the BX
Prince Paul and Pharoe came next
Wu with the G-Z-A, C-F-K
N-A-S one of the best out to date
Any MC that's added on to the list
Pump your fist, but first give praise to the true scientists"
Promised Land
"(At the thinks?) of the brain pain I came
With the sell-a-lot plot from the megawatt mainframe
With a suit made of electricity..
With a suit made of electricity
I ran through the Great Wall of China, convincingly
That was after the World Tour..
That was after the World Tour
when I travelled through gravel and battled matter at the Earth's core
I did the show on a fireball..
I did the show on a fireball, a pioneer
ran into the jungle and jetted wearing a lion's ear
I fought fear where the Hammer of Thor led me..
I fought fear where the Hammer of Thor led me
and tangled with the Angel of Death for four centuries
Put a nameplate on a asteroid belt..
Put a nameplate on a asteroid belt
and I ran through the future with an android's help
That's when civilians were made of metal..
That's when civilians were made of metal
I received the Coronation cause I had the last flower petals
My power settled a clash between races..
My power settled a clash between races
and put good people on the magazine faces
Substituted television scandals with elephants and pandas
tell 'em it's the elegant commando
With a hand so large..
With a hand so big, I punched a sphinx in the nose
in the nose, decomposed, and so the story goes
I smacked a 40o out of a young man's hand..
I smacked a 40 ounce, out of a young man's hand
and fed him lesson's of life to formulate a plan
I wore the Prime Meridian as a wrist band..
I wore the Prime Meridian as a wrist band
and gave away my riches but I still remained a rich man
I thought of freedom and I jetted to the Promised Land.. "
B-Raff 10-15-2007, 11:36 PM MC Serch has done more for hip hop than most rappers have even thought about doing.
Basically. He executive produced Illmatic, that's enough alone to make you a legend.
Skully Wully 10-15-2007, 11:41 PM I'd like to nominate Haystak. :)
RAiZA 10-15-2007, 11:42 PM the legendary netcee DZK or Illmatic, TheSaurus or Iron Soloman. All great.

AlphaOmega123 10-16-2007, 12:40 AM I can't agree with slug, I can't stand backpack shit though so meh.
The beasties have a few good songs to their names but while their production is classic their raps are WAY overrated.
Necro, I think he is a little monotonous but I like ill bill .... Is goretex white? cuz if so he'd get my nod.
AlphaOmega123 10-16-2007, 12:41 AM El-p nerves me also, more for his production but I don much care for his raps.
Dude makes peoples lists though I guess..
Tom.B 10-16-2007, 01:08 AM Jojo Pellegrino
Clutch 10-16-2007, 01:25 AM I've only really listened to Emenem but I'm sure there is more out there.
NinjaMic 10-16-2007, 10:35 AM It's easier to list rappers that do suck, than rappers that don't.
Screech 10-16-2007, 11:47 AM There has actually been A LOT of good white rappers-
Eminem
Cage
Apathy
MC Serch
Rugged Man
Brother Ali
etc..
there are a lot more.
oh yeah Vanilla Ice.
NinjaMic 10-16-2007, 11:56 AM Vanilla Ice did more for hip-hop than Mc Serch... him and MC Hammer kept rappers from being burned at the stake by middle class, bible-belters in the early 90's.
Tom.B 10-16-2007, 12:27 PM Vanilla Ice did more for hip-hop than Mc Serch... him and MC Hammer kept rappers from being burned at the stake by middle class, bible-belters in the early 90's.
I hope your kidding......you must do some research on MC Search.....

Nirvana 10-16-2007, 12:57 PM "You ain't seen a sicker crack since serch and mister mathers" LoL
you know Apathy he's one of the illest to do it too.
Ya'll ain't good enough
[Verse 1: Apathy]
I'm liver than Thai weed for freaks, drive high speed through streets
I could freestyle for weeks if they bangin' the beats
I never sweat the opposition, my position is locked
Different chickens are switchin' positions when lickin' the cock
When hittin' skirts, I don't even need to drop a written verse
Freestyle and have her legs open wide like givin' birth
Don't let me start, 'cause I'll finish 'em off
Like you tried to play Tiger Woods in miniature golf
Admit it, you lost, the minute you crossed the first tee
Verse me? Rappers, the strength of Hercules couldn't hurt me
Y'all better dress in a Kevlar suit
'Cause my clips make more hits than Neptunes' group
And I spit gasoline, so the booth'll get doused
Then ignited from the flames in the roof of my mouth
When I write, it's like the brainwaves shoot to get out
When you bite, I take aim like you're lootin' my house
The Lesson (Freestyle)
[Apathy]
I'll make you motherfuckers break out like soda and grease
Devoted to speech and how it flows over the beats
We're rollin' deep holdin' heat like the code of the streets
Reloadin' my piece while faggot rappers go to police
Yo I use more force than even Yoda can teach
Try to counter my opponents but the total decreased
Flows released until every last foe is deceased
Build a throne from the bones of the bogus and weak
So if you ever pickup a mic to beef or to diss
You'll cease to exist before the metal reaches your lips
The reason is this: picture gettin' Jesus to spit
Multiply by six and you'll get me when I flip
Walk exotic beaches with bitches who fiend for the dick
They get exotic, freaky, and viscous, and eager to lick
Let my foes roll deep, bring toast to the beef
Fuck bullets, I could catch lightening bolts in my teeth
It's Apathy, the baddest rapper with the mentality
That's as savage as survivors of a nuclear disaster
Aftermath's as massive as asteroid crashes
Frontin' like your bad when half your boys passive
I pass that six-way shit, play slick
I'll be up inside your nose on some switchblade shit
Writing (?) style motherfuckers better be listening
I start spittin' and leave your brain like Jessica Simpson
Fresh in the flesh, now-a-days I'm better at pimpin'
Gettin' every single chicken, tryin' every single position
I'm top seated
Burn your stomach lining like there's crack rocks in your pocket and
You see the cops heated
Cannot be defeated
It's not an option I treat it like it's pussy, get it poppin' anytime
That I need it
If a bitch ain't wifey and she like me or I beat it
Then she's likely to describe me as being slightly conceited
The type to type your number in my phone and then delete it
Leave it alone, if you ain't givin' me dome then I don't need it
I got kinky hoes in skimpy clothes
With brain powers that could crack Da Vinci codes
nobody liked everlast in house of pain?

Everlast wrecked mobb deep on Shook Ones...
Jojo Pellegrino
He's pretty dope from the few verses i've heard, but I didn't even know he's white lol (if he indeed is), for some reason I thought he's hispanic.
and he's from Staten :)
And most have been named already that i'd say, too lazy right now to think of others.
AlphaOmega123 10-16-2007, 09:27 PM I'll give everlast some credit, technically he isn't crap he's certainly no serch or anything.
He was part of a long line of eminem beefs and like several of the others I can think of he won his.
That being said I'm not a fan of the whole bluesy countryish stuff he does.
But I guess compared to alotta today shit he's nice.
Kill_me_dead 10-16-2007, 09:42 PM slug...

NinjaMic 10-17-2007, 11:36 AM I hope your kidding......you must do some research on MC Search.....
Or maybe do a "search" on MC Serch?
Alan Johnson 10-17-2007, 02:13 PM I give everlast credit SOLELY on the Shook Ones song he did. He re-did that song soooooo well. Made it sound ACTUALLY hard. P and Hav had weak voices to do a hard track.
Dizz042o 12-14-2007, 10:05 AM Josh Leiderman a.k.a UnderRated
Slug, Evidence, Brother Ali, Apathy & Eminem.
Big Tymer 12-14-2007, 11:45 PM Vanilla Ice did more for hip-hop than Mc Serch... him and MC Hammer kept rappers from being burned at the stake by middle class, bible-belters in the early 90's.
The people who disagreed with him are real stupid tbh. Eventhough both mc hammer and vanilla ice a punks they did keep rappers from being burned at the stake. Hip Hop was going strong during Hammer's and Vanilla Ices reign, so strong that they arent even grouped in the era. But these dudes opened a lot of doors that we don't even consider taboo to go through anymore. Most importantly though, they never harmed anyone doing it.
Bakke 12-15-2007, 07:25 AM Eminem, Opaque, Cage, R.A. The Rugged Man, Slug, El-P, Brother Ali, Edan, Josh Martinez, Apathy++++++++ too many to mention
.ScottishHead 12-15-2007, 08:53 AM There are so many nice white MCs in America alone, not even counting Canadian, UK and other European MCs.

Dizz042o 12-15-2007, 12:10 PM ^stfu^ I mean for real, You don't have to agree with me. I feel that Twiztid are not rapper's who suck. They have great story telling ability, their rhymes are tight. Their delivery isn't one to be hated on. They hold down in the underground. You my friend, are just a hater.
mlkwasgay 12-15-2007, 12:29 PM vanilla ice is to date the greatest white rapper of all time his shit just broke the mold and it hasnt been equalled since
Dizz042o 12-15-2007, 12:29 PM ^Speculation has it that he has a ghost writer. If this isn't true than I'd have to agree. Although their are white people who rhyme ten times better. But he's the white boy that set it off for white rappers.
