Kucinich sees UFO, new book claims

Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich has seen a UFO, writes Shirley MacLaine in her new book, "Sage-Ing While Age-Ing."

Kucinich, she writes on page143-144 of the book, "had a close sighting over my home in Graham, Washington, when I lived there. Dennis found his encounter extremely moving. The smell of roses drew him out to my balcony where, when he looked up, he saw a gigantic triangular craft, silent, and observing him. It hovered, soundless, for ten minutes or so, and sped away with a speed he couldn't comprehend. He said he felt a connection in his heart and heard directions in his mind."

Representatives of Kucinich's presidential campaign and congressional office have not responded to calls and e-mail asking whether the Cleveland Democratic congressman in fact saw a UFO or if there is another explanation for MacLaine's recollection.

MacLaine is a well-known believer of UFOs and reincarnation. And she's been close to Kucinich for decades. MacLaine is the godmother of Kucinich's daughter and attended Kucinich's 2005 Cleveland wedding to third wife, Elizabeth, who's often campaigning by his side.

MacLaine also recommended in the 1980s that Kucinich visit New Mexico spiritual adviser Chris Griscom, whom MacLaine featured in her then-best-selling book, "Dancing in the Light," describing how Griscom helped her communicate with trees. (Kucinich has insisted that Griscom was not his spiritual adviser but a "teacher and a very good friend.")

MacLaine, who shares Kucinich's opposition to using weapons in space, doesn't shed any more light in her book on Kucinich's close encounter, including when it happened. But to read more about MacLaine's beliefs, pick up a copy of the book. It goes on sale next month -- on Election Day.

Now this guy sounds like someone to party with lol, but seriously i believe him.

Indeed. It's just funny, because he opposes "weapons in space" and he probably witnessed a US Gov't Missile Defense System Test. They've been happening all around the country and have been mistaken for UFO's for the past couple of years. Anyone who believes otherwise isn't paying attention to the news.

..I've seen 'em too, though..
..The first one was a completely neon green blimp looking thing that flew right up to the apartment building where I was living. It made no sound whatsoever. My little brother, grandmother, and cousin (who lived in an adjacent building all saw it). This was in 1991 maybe..

..The second one (for those who know North Lauderdale) was flying West as I was driving East on Bailey Road around 6:30PM. My mother was driving the car and saw a rectangle with 4 huge circular lights on each corner. We basically vowed not to say anything. This was in 1996-1997..

..Yes I'm on medication..

..No it's not for a mental disorder..

^ I've seen a few weird things in the skies over the years. The last one I actually saw was in Tallahassee a few months ago. It was an orange-yellowish sphere. It was motionless in the sky for a good 20-30 seconds, then it just moved slowly across the horizon and disappeared. It didn't move out of sight, it just disappeared. It wasn't a flare or or flame from some craft, it was just a round marble looking object.

It looked like what a lot of other people have described seeing over the past year or so over the United States. I still believe it has to do with the Missile Defense System.

Damien, that's nuts man. That one in North Lauderdale, was it a shiny silver object or was it during the winter and already dark outside, so you couldn't tell?

That's crazy though Damien, I saw something similar to that around the same time near Holiday Park, not the same day though most likely. I figured it might have been some mirage of some sort. It looked like a flying silver square, like a mini-sky scraper hovering. There's lots of low flying aircraft and skyscrapers in Ft. Lauderdale, so we always figured it had a reasonable explanation...who knows...but if someone else saw something that crazy over Ft. Lauderdale, it gets me thinking...

..I got some people in Margate who build cars who told me about a sphere they saw around 11PM one night a few months ago. Apparently, it came from the East and grew larger then disappeared. They said it got to be the size of the Moon before it vanished. They then proceeded to throw out the blunt and bounce to their respective houses..

..It was definitely dark. All I know is that it was a Wednesday because I had a competition to practice for that night. It was friggin' huge, though, because we drove right under it and the size just look unreal..

..I'm with you about there being a rational explanation, though. I don't have evidence of aliens so I'm chalking it up to the government..

Lol, exactly. I believe all these crazy UFO stories, there's too many of them for them all to be false, it's just a matter of believing what these things are. I really don't hope they're extraterrestrials, that would permanently warp my view of the existence of this planet and our civilization.

Maybe they're angels/demons/Russians/the people of the Lost City of Atlantis?

Hmmm....crazy theory...

What if they're humans from the future? That could explain a lot.

Haha, I don't blame them.

I like hearing about shit like this.

I firmly believe there has been a major cover-up when it comes to "flying saucers" and sightings like this.

I can't remember what was gonna say now. :smoke:

..You're joking, right? I verbally dismantled them when they told me about that night..

..Man, if these were extraterrestrials, our planet is in serious trouble. We're much too divided to fight off possible enslavement. And no, there's no way they'd be peaceful..

What if they're humans from the future? That could explain a lot.
..I've heard that theory before, that they could be time travelers who are escaping the horrors of what we've been doing to the planet. That made no sense since there hasn't been a large jump in planet's the population..

P.S.
..Feral smokes too much..

Oh yeah I was just gonna mention the UFO sightings in Midlands in England during the summer floods this year. Mass sightings over towns.

No joke, I'm trying to find it on Google as we speak. This object that looked like a star/planet/sphere/floating comet/fireball thing was seen by a bunch of people for a period of a week last Spring or during the Summer, I'm not quite sure now. My friends thought they saw it down in Miami.

There's stories of aliens dating back throughout human history. Objects similar to spacecraft, helicopters & extraterrestrials appear in the artwork and written works of many cultures. One could easily explain the Greek's idea of 'flying chariots' as meteorities, but as far as ancient symbols from South America & Africa depicting these 'crafts' and 'beings'...that's a bit more difficult to explain. The similarities between some of these symbols and what modern accounts describe, is almost uncanny. So, if these 'aliens' have been here for the duration of human history, I think it's more reasonable to consider that these 'aliens' are possibly time travelers. It sounds wacky...all of this does really...but why would an alien race fly halfway across the galaxy to remain hidden all this time?

Maybe I need to quit smoking, lol.

..If you're referring to the spacecraft-looking vehicles that are depicted in the pyramids in Egypt, there is a perfectly rational explanation for it. Apparently, that is just the work of compound art and erosion. Symbols are carved. A new reigning power is named after however many years. The new symbols are superimposed over the originals. Erosion occurs and a flying saucer appears on a stone wall. I found info about it and made mention somewhere on this site before..

..But if an alien race truly existed within out galaxy, we would undoubtedly know about it..

Not necessarily UFO's....helicopters. Symbols like this have been found in both South America and Egypt. Maybe it was some ancient weapon or tool? Maybe not.

Two Presidential Candidates on UFOs now. New Mexico Governor, Bill Richardson :

Richardson on Roswell Posted: Tuesday, October 30, 2007 11:17 PM by Domenico Montanaro

Seriously, Richardson, the governor of New Mexico, called on the government to declassify all Roswell documents. He brought it up himself when Chris Matthews was joking about Kucinich's UFO answer. He said the government hasn't "come clean" on the issue. His campaign will surely say he was joking, he has a sense of humor. But even though he was laughing in some parts of that answer, he wasn't joking about THAT.

Matthews looked on in disbelief and joked that this is shaping up to be a contest between the de-evolution party and the pro-UFO party.

UFOs and Alien Life
In the weird last minutes of the debate (the period, by the way, when The Fix made it onto the basketball court in high school) Rep. Dennis Kucinich (Ohio) gave us a highlight.

Asked about the statement by actress Shirley MacLaine that Kucinich had seen a UFO at her house, Kucinich said that he had. He quickly sought to clarify -- an "unidentified flying object" he said holding up his hand -- but man oh man.

The big news tonight: DENNIS KUCINICH HAS SEEN A UFO.

Obama did not take the bait when asked whether he thought there is life on other planets. "I believe there is life here on Earth," he said, turning his answer into a domestic policy statement.
