View Full Version : California fires possibly a good thing
Vokals 10-25-2007, 09:27 PM Yea, that may sound ignorant, but in a sense it may be good... for ppl who had shit to be done to a house that they couldnt afford, now they'll get a new house and maybe some extra money for finances
people who have shitty jobs can get contract work to help build new houses and buildings, landscaping, construction could turn into an economical boom in that area for jobs and help people get a new craft, everyone will profit from this
gas companies for the working vehicles
material builders for tools
lumber yards
clothing outlets for work clothes
restraunts for lunch breaks
funeral homes
grave yards
anything u can think of effects 1 aspect of 1 individual thing
may have done a billion dollars worth of damage for the economy will recover and ppl can make a living from this
if you are old enough to invest into stocks, do so now for companies in that area and who have a direct effect on what may happen there
but shitty for those who dies
call me ignorant or retarded, but this is shit i said is true

SomethingAwfl 10-25-2007, 10:44 PM But what about the business executives who's buildings burnt down. Now they'll have to do manual labor for minimum wage. And though I'm not a homeowner, I'm pretty sure Insurance won't cover even close to all the damage caused by the fire. If you're lucky you might replace your home, but what about furniture etc.?
Jayant 10-25-2007, 10:52 PM the hurricane katrina victims didn't get any help right? so why would the cali victims, coz they from malibu?

Vokals 10-26-2007, 12:08 AM katrina victims did get help, it just takes time to rebuild same as this will
the executives wont get paid minimum wage, they have insurance just like anyone else
shit will get contracted and rebuilt, its a full circle of things
Dcoy yea shits been burnt down, but that doesnt mean other companies and construction companies wont go there to rebuild shit, many companies and certain parts of the economy will boom from this
-Maple- 10-26-2007, 01:49 PM eh in every situation you're going to find one positive, one negative imo
Paramount 10-26-2007, 02:57 PM Well....I live here in the middle of these fires (San Diego) and it sucks. The beaches weren't hit tho! I feel bad for all the people that had a mortgage and their house burned down. Now they have to get a new loan and deal with the crazy insane rates presently.
Ender 10-26-2007, 10:35 PM I live in LA and i dont see how the fires are a good thing at all.

PAX DECEPTICVS 10-27-2007, 12:11 AM Disaster breeds opportunity. Also, rather LA than The Bay.

You see opportunity cause your not in Sothern CAL and you havent seen any of the disaster. Its hard to think about way to come up when their are so many people homeless because of the Fire. Over 3000 homes lost.
