What's your opinion on DMX's best album?

Its dark And Hell Is Hot. My first album by him and probably my favorite from him at the moment.

Dmx is scattered. He does well enough as a performer, compared to the motherfuckers who mumble, but his lyrical output (not the sentiments, for which he's consistent, but the actual poetics) are weak.

I don't like any album whole. Some good songs are, of course, Ayo Kato and Here we go again.

Not sure tbh. My fav songs of his are a pick and mix for me so I can't stick to one album. But if I had to, 'It's Dark And Hell Is Hot' would be it.

Its Dark and Hell Is Hot is definitely the best DMX album to date.

Maybe if he'd kept Swizz Beats from executive producing the others he would of outdone that one.

I have them all except the last one btw.

Simply because it's the first DMX album I ever heard/owned. I remember years ago, my sister used to play the shit out of it on MinDisc in her car...

Plus my favourite song DMX song is Fame.

Lol at people actually voting for "Year of the Dog..." every song on that album is a subpar version of a song on one his other albums... re-hashed, unoriginal garbage IMO..

I voted for "It's Dark and Hell is Hot", and then probably "...And then there was X". After that he should've stayed retired, but that damn crack habit gets pricey.
