What makes him the best, is not only his nearly unparralleled skill of description and dialogue, but the way his flow and delivery, as well as his calm, pensive voice has a visual narrative effect to it. Some of the best tracks for storytelling IMO... or just examples for certain artists... Nas "Undying Love", "Rewind", "The Set Up", "Shoot Outs", "Suspect" verse 1, "Fetus", "Poppa Was a Player" Eminem "Kim", "Stan", "'97 Bonnie & Clyde", "Guilty Conscience", "As the World Turns", "Murder Murder", "My Fault" RZA "Tearz" verse 1, Domestic Violence, What You In Fo' (heh), Freak the Sorcoress Ghostface Killah "Impossible" verse 3, "Camay", "Impossible" verse 3 Inspectah Deck "Word on the Streets" Wu-Syndicates "Where Was Heaven" The Coup "Me and Jesus the Pimp in a '79 Grenada Last Night" 2 Pac "Shorty Wanna Be a Thug" Method Man "Cereal Killa"... laughable content, but dope execution I've just never felt Biggie's style enough to dig his story's... Eminem, hes great too, his best song was as the world turns- well that is one of his best definitely.
