Yes its me again with a full review of Sigel's 4th LP, the Solution due Dec 11th...
)All of the Above ft R. Kelly- Sig's first single, typical club track with Kells singing a hook that doesn't really apply to himself. Sig spits pretty hard but like most Sig track I doubt this will hit the hot singles chart 6.5/10
)Bout That- Ummm....could've done without the sample the chorus is pretty weak but Sigel spits a Hov-esque verse and had he redid the chorus this would be alot better. "I done turned more blocks than a rubiks cube" 6/10
)You Ain't Ready For Me ft Styles P.- The 2 hardest out. S.P. and the Broad Street Bully straight hard street shit. Sig plays Jadakiss as he and Ghost trade off eaach line over the heavy drum beat. This shits crazy 10/10
)Go Low ft Rock City- Rap & Reggae the love affair continues token reggae artist singing a hook you dont quite understand what they saying but its still hot. Nice beat but Sigel doesnt spit anything that really caught my attention except he makes way too may "in that ass" references for someone fresh out...im just sayin 7.5/10
)Gutted ft Jay-Z- Token I got money and you don't track, Sigel once again spits an average verse. No surprise the biggest gloater in the game hops on the track, Jay spits nothing special, decent track to bump though. 7/10
)Pass the Patron ft Diddy, Ghostface, and Peedi- The worse the track on the album, even though Ghostface spits a hot verse. I dont believe thats really Diddy singing the hook Peedi disappoints. 5/10
)I'm In-A song that makes you go hmmm...you sure this is a Sigel track? I know its supposed to be a shorty track but I dont even see a female requesting this one...I take back my last statement THIS is the worst track on the album 4/10
)Hustlas, Haze & Highways- Reminds me of Purple Rain from The B. Coming. Real laid back track. I like it. Fuck it thats all you need to know 5/10
)What They Gonna Say To Me- The is a typical Beanie track with Jay sample. Beans goes pretty hard on it, the last verse was the best. The beat is basic but it works. 6.5/10
10) Judgement Day ft Ozzy Osbourne- Can't feel it which is a shame because Beans spits some real shit on it but that rock and roll rockstar shit gets a skip in my stereo early. 4.5/10
)Rain(Bridge) ft Scarface & Raheem Devaughn- Sigel spits some more real shit and he put my nigga Face on it, when the snippet leaked a lil while ago I was waiting for the full track. This joint is fire but a lil too long, they could've shortened it a lil bit. 8.5/10
)Dear Self ft James Blunt- I read the name of the track and I knew Beans was going to pour it all out in this track. The sample actually works on this one he has a battle within himself between good and bad, this is being overdone but Sig makes it work 8.5/10
)Prayer ft Raheem Devaughn- Perfect way to end the album another laid back vintage Beans track. Sounds alot like Dear Self, what happened to Rell, why this other nigga on the hook? 9/10
/130 about 7.5
Sigel went somewhat commercial and alot of the album could be singles, which is rare for Beans. Sorry Free, Sigel is definitely getting spins in the whip this week. I'll cop the album cuz i gotta support. Real Hip Hop aint dead yet
