He gets at Murder Inc, and more. 50 Cent tells it all in this exclusive.
50 once again proves he's a bad guy and proud of it. You're about to read his thoughts on Eminem, KRS-One, dead prez, Benzino and of course, Ja Rule and Murder Inc.
SOHH: Eminem said you're his favorite emcee. Who's your favorite right now?
50 CENT
You know what's funny...right now Eminem. I'm saying that 'cause he said that. We have a lot of similarities. People might not recognize it because they're not paying attention close enough.
I use my life as inspiration to write my songs. Like incidents and situations I've been through will be on my next album. Em is using his life as well. We know who Kim is; we know who Hailie is and his relationship with his mother. Our lives are different. There's a lot more gunplay in my life because I've had more gunplay in my life. There's more description of the 'hood cause I'm from the 'hood. I learn from his records. Like some of the records I listen to you'll be like 'you listen to this s**t?' Like Three Six Mafia. Ain't no record that gets passed me. They'll have one record on that that I'll be laughing at. Like this ni99a said this.
[on a tangent now...]
You know what it is [dead prez's] message is strong. You can't do that sh!t and expect to get signed. Now they're on some pro-Bin Laden sh!t. [What the] f#@$ they doing? I understand the whole black empowerment and all that sh!t. But f#@$ that man. People from all types of [ethnicities] died in those buildings. They didn't care if you were black. I ain't mad at them. That sh!t about changing the world; you gotta snap out of it.
SOHH: Who's your all-time favorite?
50 CENT
My favorite emcee before he starting turning into a teacher was KRS-One. When he came out with Criminal Minded ah man that was [my] ni99a right there. It was the story of my life. If I remember correctly on the "The Bridge is Over" he was sh!tting on people. I know most people think I'm crazy but I love it. I don't give a f#@$. Yeah I'm the bad guy. I'm your favorite f#@$ing bad guy. My grandmother always told me just be the best. And I just figured out I wanted to be the best f#@$ing bad guy. Ima do whatever the f#@$ I wanna do.
SOHH: Word is that you're recording a song with some Tupac vocals for an upcoming DJ Whoo Kid mixtape.
50 CENT
Who told you that?
SOHH: We reported on it.
50 CENT
It's coming. I don't have a title yet. I'll take the vocals and make it into a record. Like [how] we took Biggie Smalls' vocals. We found the right beat to go with it and I did the chorus and put my vocals on it. I built the song around it which is "The Realest ni99as." These are my favorite artists really; like Biggie and Tupac. My favorites aren't around for me to work with. The new artists...I don't think there's anybody is an all around artist that I'm just love them and wanna rock with them.
