Did anyone think CRIME MOB's 1st album sounded like a MEMPHIS album? [Archive]

Like SERIOUSLY? I have been putting this joint back into the rotation again lately and this album made me remember how fuckin raw it really was front to back...This album actually blew me away, for real........Now why the Memphis comparison? Well its a known fact that Crunk music started in that state, not ATL....They used that fast rapid-paced Mystic Stylez type of flows on here and used alot of Memphis slang such as 'Ana' for instance....They are from ATL, yet this album sounds like something that was made from M-town

Overall this album suprised me, because they didnt go the Lil Jon route like alot of the NEW crunk music thats been coming out of the A for the last couple of years in the 2000's....They went with that old traditional Memphis style of crunk on here, which I love......Shit they almost reminded me of 3-6 on this album.....Discuss

HAHA that reminds me of something similar I went through.

I had went to a club in The Grove (Coconut Grove for those not familiar with Miami) and I had been waiting in line to get in for over a half hour cause the place was packed. I finally get in and the DJ is playing GO DJ by Lil Wayne but the song was at the end. The next song up was Crime Mob Knuck if you buck. As soon as they played that everybody in the club started getting hyped as fuck. Well as I was walking through the crowd to catch up to my homies some dude pushed me (he was going along with the song). I was like "chill I'm not in the mood". But dude did it a second time before I could walk away and I got hot. I was like "Ayo forreal calm the fuck down !" and as I turned to walk away again he did it a third time and I had had enough. I turned around and latched (swung) on him. BOOM ! That dude went flying into the bathroom door (we were next to the bathroom). I just kept swinging on him. finally I stopped to walk away cause he was all fucked up and dazed. When I backed off him he fell forward onto me and knocked me off balance and we both fell cause the floor was slippery next to the bathroom and I had nothing to grab onto when I lost my balance. Well random people started stomping him out and I was kind of in the way so I got kicked a couple times but then got up. When I got to my feet he was still getting stomped out luckily though the bouncer showed up to break the whole shit up. So I ended up getting kicked out of the club my first 3-4 minutes in.. The other dude got kicked out right behind me and it was a funny ass scene cause you see my big ass walking down the stairs pissed as fuck cause I got kicked out (but basically unscratched) and then you see the dude getting kicked out right behind me and his face is all fucked up. Dude was like stumbling down the stairs trying to hold on to the railing for balance cause he was fucked up big time.

When we get down the stairs he calls up like 7 or 8 of his homies. Lucky for me I bumped into one my homies that got kicked as well for swinging off on the bartender. So it's about to be 2 on like 8 or 9 (in total) but then two two of my other homies that saw this shit from the club balcony ran out to help us and bumped into another one of my homies on the way down. So it end's up being a 5 on 8 or 9 and we're rumbling down stairs. Everyone on their side is getting fucked up pretty decent. The dude who started it all with the shoving is getting it the worst. I mean dude is getting knocked out left and right. Every time he gets back one of my homies lays him flat on his back. Now we get rushed by a cop (just 1 lmao) and mostly everyone scatters like roaches when the lights come on. My homie though (who drilled the bartender) didn't seem him and is still swinging off on one of the other dudes, so the cop runs up behind him and tasers the shit out of him (he later told me as a result of this he had momentarily lost control of his bodily functions and slightly shitted in his boxers). The cop then lets my homie get up and leave and he catches up with the other four of us in at the corner. We waited there until the club was over (cause our rides were still in the club) and after the club we met up with the rest of our homies and chilled in front of the club for a minute. Well it turned out that the kid that started this whole shit hadn't left yet and was actually driving past us with his head out the window. Well one of my homies pointed him out to another one of my homies who was in the club the whole time. Well that homie stood in the middle of the street like he was just chillen (he was actually waiting for the car to get close and try to go around him) well it did and as soon as the car tried to go around him he swung off on the dudes head (as it was still sticking out the window, probably looking for me or one of my other homies involved from the start). He caught a fist-full from the comfort of his homies vehicle. =))

Then they drove off at the speed of light and we left the club.

All this because they played knuck if you buck. =))

Back on topic though, I really like that album and it gets heavy rotation from me. It does sound like an old Buck Music (Memphis Crunk) album.
