Tommy Bunz 02-24-2008, 12:16 PM These are Marley Marl beats? They don't really sound like him.
Anyways, thanks for this, sounds great
Captain Planet 02-24-2008, 12:32 PM the first video is a Marley beat 2nd is a K-Def
the other 2 songs Marley did beats for on the album have never leaked
Killuminati96 02-24-2008, 02:22 PM Nice Thanks.
.ScottishHead 02-24-2008, 03:49 PM wow, this album is raw as fuck, another underrated 90s boom bap album I guess. Thick bass, drums are hard, all the scratchin is good and the emcees are nice. Can't even get any info on them except a few 12" singles, this should be released.
I'll listen to this later....sounds pretty good from those songs
rap_is_real 02-24-2008, 06:17 PM Thanks
The two youtube songs were nice, downloading now.
Thanks for the recommendation/link.
Tommy Bunz 02-24-2008, 11:43 PM Why is "Come Take A Ride" 30 1/2 minutes long?
Captain Planet 02-24-2008, 11:52 PM it's not, just says that fir some reason ... normal time
rap_is_real 03-04-2008, 12:31 AM Wow, thank you so much for this... It's been a week and this is one of my most played albums right now... "Come Take a Ride" is an amazing song... kudos on this Wee Jesus
ReziN 03-04-2008, 04:45 AM Downloading now. will listen to later, thanks for upping that shit, sounds like its gonna be sick from those 2 tracks.
.ScottishHead 03-04-2008, 11:52 AM I've been listenin to this album a lot recently, raw as fuck..
How Nice I Am is the best song on it
Captain Planet 03-09-2008, 05:45 PM thought it'd bump this as i'm listening it now
seeing rap_is_real mention it in the What's Everyone Listenin To Today? thread and Mass mention it in the shoutbox put me in the mood for it ...
quality album ...
production is great and the mc's hold their own without getting completely overshadowed by the beats ...

MasSGyozA 03-29-2008, 11:32 PM i meant to post in here earlier.
this is a great album. i've been listening to bits of its more or less daily, and ive played it for several people.
confident and bass heavy production lends well to the chill atmosphere. the emcees stay with the beats and they have some cool shit to say. content isn't blowing me away but i've always said that if you do it well then the content can take a bit of a back seat.
special mention to Come Take a Ride, the West Coast Vibe version. fun to hear a land-locked east coast group branch out a bit and try shit like that.
plus, they were successful.
Dope Cd.
[EDIT]
and Mass mention it in the shoutbox put me in the mood for it ...
holla.
quality album ...
production is great and the mc's hold their own without getting completely overshadowed by the beats ...
im glad you pointed this out. it seems an odd sort of problem, but there are a few cds that are left out of my Top lists because the lyricism just cant match the beats. i think Cunnin Lynguists sometimes suffer from this. Nine to a certain extent, and every JMT cd after VBD.
i reiterate that this World Renown cd has good balance though.
