Great album from start to finish. And though the album does get some respect, I feel its greatly overshadowed by Illmatic. This album is in my opinion, better than Illmatic.

There's no way in fuck "It Was Written" is better than "Illmatic!" It's not even Nas' second best album.

Anyway, back to the quustion.....I need more time to think.

I don't see how anyone sleeps on It Was Written... It's in my top 5 albums of all time.

I really can't think of any albums that I love that are slept on. One album that I consider a classic that I don't hear many people talk about though is Livin' Proof by Group Home, that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Nobody who listens to hip hop sleeps on IWW, everybody agrees that it's a classic.

IMO Better than Illmatic

God's Son was a quality album, i wouldnt go as far as to say it was better than Illmatic though. "Get Down" is possibly, along with "one Love" the best Nas track of all time.
