View Full Version : Your Ink Recipes - For Extreme Stainers Australian™ 03-22-2008, 07:20 PM I use pilot ink and chlorine, simple but effective about 80% Ink 20% Chlorine , stinks like shit though. What about you guys? feral 03-23-2008, 07:21 AM I used to get a base ink and add various stainer powders (depending on the colour) and add a few drops of brake fluid. Literally burns itself into walls. Australian™ 03-23-2008, 07:22 AM ^ Some people swear by brake fluid, some say it's shit but you seem to know what you're talking about so I'll try it out - I'm planning on getting some tomorrow, would I be able to get it from any auto place e.g supercheap auto feral 03-23-2008, 07:27 AM Yeah you should be able to get some from Motor shops, or petrol stations. Only 2 or 3 drops though should do the trick. Tekstyle 03-23-2008, 08:08 AM I like to add leather dyes to my inks...They usually stain about anything. And DOT3 brake fluid is effective...others haven't really worked much...another good trick is to let your ink sweat a bit(evaporate)...If its alcohol based any way....it will help make it thick and opaque. Australian™ 03-23-2008, 08:12 AM I just got some fieblings leather dye today haha keen to try it out, how many drops should I put in? Would it be a good idea to put a few drops of brake fluid in an OTR flow pen, with OTR ink? Tekstyle 03-23-2008, 09:15 AM OTR ink is actually paint...It may have adverse effects since the brake fluid is corrosive. You can actually add as much dye as you feel necessary... if i was you i would test a few different ratios....I like about an 80(ink or whatever)/20(dye of your choice) ratio.... Australian™ 03-23-2008, 09:19 AM ^ Cheers, what about hard-to-buff? Is that paint as well? Tekstyle 03-23-2008, 09:21 AM nope and i love the fuck out of it! add a couple drops of Fish oil...like castor oil...and mix it really well....When it dries if they try to buff it with paint it will seep through the buff. :) Australian™ 03-23-2008, 09:26 AM ^ Awesome, could I get the same oil out of salmon oil tablets? Tekstyle 03-23-2008, 09:30 AM i am not sure....havent tried that....i suppose as long as they have the liquid inside it should work. Again make sure you experiment with different ratios. Im out though i gotta work in 3 hours i need some sleep....holla Scrooge. 03-24-2008, 05:47 AM I need to refill my molotow marker, but have ran out of this stainer shit i had, only needed a couple of drops of it, fuck i wish i remember what it was called....i need some more of that shiiit!!! Australian™ 03-24-2008, 05:50 AM ^ Is it a T-Tip Blue Molotow? I got one of those its the best colour.. Was it gentian violet? or something weird like that, my friend has a cold sweat OTR which has tar in it..that stains badly and smells like shit Update for anyone who cares - I got some leather dye, fish oil and brake fluid and artline ink and topped up my hard to buff and it burns into walls I tested it near my house and tried to buff it and it left a scar just an hour afterwards.. Scrooge. 03-24-2008, 06:07 AM nah it aint one of those bro, its a 30ML. im gonna have to try this fish oil or brake fluid idea. Australian™ 03-24-2008, 06:12 AM Go with the brake fluid, just a little bit though its reaaal strong. I pulled it out on the train today cos there was just these 3 skater teenagers and It not only dripped badly but stunk out the carriage and they all looked over at me..true story! While im in here I need some advice on popping the guardie - being the guards carriage at the very back of the train, I've done it a few times out of luck but is there a special technique/trick to make it easier? Scrooge. 03-24-2008, 09:29 AM Yeah fucking oath ill try that, i just want some ink that eats through the buff paint. :) Nah i dont really ay, i rather bomb/piece the outside of the metal giants. :D Best way to go at it is like as if you were on a bus. >>> Go hard before you get off!!!! Patrick Ewing 03-24-2008, 09:21 PM I just got some fieblings leather dye today haha keen to try it out, how many drops should I put in?
