Premiere makes great beats. One of my favorite producers. But Dre matches him on that. I think Dre's better at producing albums though. Plus all the influential artists, albums, and production styles throughout his career. Thats why I think he surpasses Premo as the best producer ever.

sampling is a fundamental principle in hip hop, without samples, you ain't hip hop. and dre virtually exclusively uses samples, he uses synths and midi keyboards to programme and edit the sounds he samples, but not to make his beats. premier is the greatest of all time. everything he touches is dope, he has made 4 classic albums, dre has made one. rza is also better than dre, and way more original and inventive. el-p is easily the most inventive producer in hip hop, and one of the dopest. but pop fans don't understand the depth of his sounds. also prefuse 73, he is amazing, and way more interesting, original and progressive than dre.

uhh no. sampling is when you use a piece of music from a composition and match it to a beat, Premier only does the drums. What i mean is that Dr. Dre COMPOSES his own music and makes the beat. I have done both and composing the whole track from scratch is way harder and more rewarding. Plus Dr's drums shite on primo's in every aspect.
