The T-Pain voice effect is really played out and yeah the stuff Wayne has dropped so far shouldn't make the album. Real talk, I liked "Lollipop" alot when that dropped, the song was dope, but it was overplayed. And anything else thats supposed to be on Carter 3 so far is pretty bad. Hopefully he got some bangers in the stash, I'm not a Wayne fan really but I'ma check this album to see if it lives up to the hype.

Lol, do you know how many "Carter 3" albums are floating around the internet?

It's a few leaked tracks and a bunch of recycled stuff from his massive library of mixtapes.

Why don't you all reserve your opinions for the Carter 3 until after it comes out?

This is how internet gangbanging begins...

You all trash this dude's album before it comes out, so when it finally does drop you're all ready to dismiss it immediately.

I'd understand this malice if it was Shawty Lo or MC Hammer & Vanilla Ice releasing their long awaited duet, but considering how much great material Wayne has put out over the past couple of years I think it's only fair to give this dude the benefit of the doubt.

Now, as for all you haters that haven't given Wayne's music an honest listen since "Bling Bling" go start a fucking thread about your inner hatred (which is probably a deep seeded love) for Wayne.

Toby, clearly you don't fall under either one of these categories, and I too was really disappointed when Lollipop came out, but can you really blame the guy?

It's his first #1 hit.

With all the buzz he's created it's only logical he would reach out to the mainstream audience with a song...he's covering all his bases.

When this dude goes on to sell a MILLION his first week on the charts you'll all realize the genius of his strategy.

Maybe some people in the game will take notice and do MORE for their fans, and strive to make good music and make it free instead of going the Metallica route.

People like Pac, Biggie, Outkast, Eminem, Ludacris, Jay-Z, Nas...they all had LOYALTY from their fans and never had an issue when it came to selling records.

Why?

Most of those dudes put out quality music time and time again, and actually HUSTLED to sell these records.

This recent backlash in record sales is not only from the explosion of the internet, but it's from the continued disappointment of fans shelling out $20 to get a bunch of crap that they could have just downloaded online.

You have guys like 50 Cent (and a countless bunch of others) who took advantage of these loyal RAP fans and raped their wallets and put out sub par music.

Then you get Wayne who was considered nothing but wack up until 2004, who drops a good album...then drops another good album...and literally takes that shit to the underground and lights up the mixtape scene!

50 is a businessman, and he must have finally realized that that mixtapes did not only put him on the map, but they fueled his career.

How hated was G-Unit not even less than a year ago?

How much did most of RW despise 50 when Curtis came out?

Now?

The dude is dropping hot mixtape after hot mixtape, doing viral videos, basically GIVING BACK TO HIS FANS and now he's creating a buzz again.

Wayne's no dumbass.

He made a pop hit to complete the puzzle, I have faith that he hasn't forgotten what put him on the map.

Quit being haters.

Damn Breeze prolly just had the realest post I've seen on Wayne in a LOOOOOONG time. I'm not even a Lil Wayne fan mostly but Tha Carter II was pretty hot and some of his mixtape material has been sick. I actually liked "Lollipop" I think compared to most other singles, it was hot based on the production and chorus...and Wayne's sound effect was annoying but the song is still hot. I'm gonna pick up the album and see what homie is all about this time around and then judge whether its Class or Trash.

Breeze it has nothing to do with doing one song. He has 4-5 t-pained style songs that most likely will be on the album already.

Somebody take that niggas coke and vocalizer away and hand him a pen and pad before i assassinate him.

Why would he do such a thing you ask?

He's doing an album with T-Pain.
