View Full Version : Nas interview with OnSmash ... wants to work with MF Doom on Nigger Captain Planet 05-13-2008, 08:48 PM http://videos.onsmash.com/v/7mb1InKliUVXpuv1 Cold Vein 05-13-2008, 08:55 PM Yeah I saw this video a while earlier and it's interesting. I liked the Nastradoomus release a while back, it was basically just remixes of Nas songs with the beats done by Doom. If I Ruled the World over the Doomsday beat in particular was pretty damn good. However, I doubt Doom will have the time or make the effort to contribute a verse/beat. Estate Captain 05-13-2008, 10:06 PM I don't like the beat on doomsday and in particular the singing at the start. Felt like just saying this Wu Gambino 05-13-2008, 10:30 PM That would be dope to have Nas & DOOM collaborate. Ohini Jonez 05-13-2008, 10:50 PM Nas and Doom means one of two things... if Doom raps some of the worst attempts at dopeness ever... if Doom just does the beat... classic track... Issues 05-13-2008, 11:04 PM Nas is a real smart dude cmclassic 05-13-2008, 11:19 PM i wanna know when it drops Sky Loaf 05-13-2008, 11:28 PM Nas and Doom means one of two things... if Doom raps some of the worst attempts at dopeness ever... if Doom just does the beat... classic track... i agree i fucking loved the Doomsday beat Jayant 05-13-2008, 11:41 PM Nas and Doom means one of two things... if Doom raps some of the worst attempts at dopeness ever... if Doom just does the beat... classic track... agreed, his voice is always monotone which is why i can't really handle him, he's lucky he makes such dope beats, same goes for madlib, the homie nearly ruined a classic beat by dilla (red)... wish dilla was spitting over that beat or atleast someone with a nice voice... but it's cool that nas wants to work with doom and jay elec., i always thought he should have gone and got his favourite artists or ones best fitted for the concept of his album, cats like jermaine dupri and shit don't exactly have me excited... Death Bed 05-14-2008, 01:02 AM I think Dooms raw...his monotone flow is commanding...I think its raw.. Cengiz 05-14-2008, 01:05 AM His voice sounds raw, but it doesn't sound good, i just think that he takes some time to get used to, madvilliany is the best album to try get into him with. If Doom did the beat it'd be dope, love his production. rap_is_real 05-14-2008, 01:34 AM Hope this actually happens... Doom actually managed to make Nastradamus a lot better imo. And unlike Ko I hope MF does get on a track with Nas... both of 'em are two of my favorite MCs. Doom'd have to go back to his Doomsday shit for it to work, though... Quale 05-14-2008, 04:28 AM his voice is alright back to Doomsday, wtf? Sky Loaf 05-14-2008, 08:35 AM his voice is alright back to Doomsday, wtf? you dont like the beat? Esocra 05-14-2008, 09:13 AM I want a Nas and Premier album, first and foremost! Who else here thinks Salaam Remi is mediocre at best? Quale 05-14-2008, 09:36 AM you dont like the beat? no, he said that Doom's beats after Doomsday wouldn't be good for Nas, so I disagree, Doom can adapt to any rapper he works with, his versatility is one of the greatest, unlike Primo's who beats are too similar lately B-Rock 05-14-2008, 11:55 AM Doom and Nas would be an ill combo. Either rapping or production wise I'm fine with MF Doom. I took me awhile to get into his style but I like a lot of his stuff now. Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 12:06 PM I want a Nas and Premier album, first and foremost! Who else here thinks Salaam Remi is mediocre at best? THANK YOU!!! why the fuck does Nas work with him?? Alan Johnson 05-14-2008, 01:11 PM Good interview Crackavelli 05-14-2008, 04:44 PM i hate doom's voice, i'd rather just have him doing the beats and nothing more Sky Loaf 05-14-2008, 04:48 PM i hate doom's voice, i'd rather just have him doing the beats and nothing more ehh idk what it is about doom but i just dont like him. i love his production and think he could make some sick beats for Nas, if the album was full of Doom and Premier beats that would be fucking amazing Killuminati96 05-14-2008, 05:46 PM This should be dope as fuck. Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 06:12 PM This should be dope as fuck. wanna know how to solve america's problems??? Have a Yankee kill a redneck then hang the Yankee for it... bawhahahahahahahaha....
