Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 02:53 AM voted for Ms Jackson... sickest synth beat ever... Stankonia had some bangers to be kasts worst effort...
DeFiction 05-14-2008, 03:02 AM The Light from the great J Dilla.
Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 03:11 AM The Light from the great J Dilla.
would've been my choice, but I am so pro Kast...
Aaron7thSign 05-14-2008, 03:17 AM Things You Can Do - Deltron 3030

Issues 05-14-2008, 11:55 AM 3030
dirty.
16 Barz 05-14-2008, 12:21 PM I went with Stan on this one...nice beat and I'm not an Em fan.
But this is BS...there were alot doper beats of 2000 then you are listing honestly. Your only listing beats by the same artists every year, Wu Tang, Em, Outkast and Deltron, Common. But then you leave out people like DJ Quik who you missed in 1998 and now in 2000 and he's had some of the dopest beats ever as he's easily one of the most legendary producers in the game. I think you need to have a more unbiased pole man, listen to some more stuff before you go making a list like this. No hate but seriously no Quik? Thats crazy.
Drastik Da God 05-14-2008, 12:25 PM I think you need to have a more unbiased pole man,
hahahaha
Cogline 05-14-2008, 01:22 PM Sorry Miss Jackson but you got my vote
its gotta be `the light` closely followed by `ms jackson , wu-banga 101`s great also.........
Tom.B 05-14-2008, 01:49 PM Another soft list....and what up with all the outkast dick sucking......They got mad dope beats, but Ms. jackson aint one of them,...beat is soft and there aint much going on with it....
Tom.B 05-14-2008, 01:57 PM I went with Stan on this one...nice beat and I'm not an Em fan.

Word up, 2000 was a hot year for beats and albums.......MOP ante up off the top is one I'd pick over this whole list..., Big L dropped that year, CNN, LOX, Dynasty album....just to name a few.....

Yeah def Ante Up shoulda been there...and Ja Rule had a big year that year with some hot beats on his Rule 3:36 album..."One of Us" off of that album also shoulda been on here. There are plenty of other hot beats from that year also and they were missed due to all of these artists that are in every single thread.

I hear ya....but to Cooks defense, its hard to create a short list and make everyone happy....
Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 05:06 PM yeah polls are limited to 10 options... why not pick the most popular and famous joints...
Wu Gambino 05-14-2008, 05:07 PM I guess I'm the only one who thinks so but I went with Wu Banga 101. I think it is Mathematic's best beat.
Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 05:13 PM Another soft list....and what up with all the outkast dick sucking......They got mad dope beats, but Ms. jackson aint one of them,...beat is soft and there aint much going on with it....
are you serious??? So you didn't listen to the drums, the piano, and the synthesizers in it??? I'm sorry maybe I was just hearin shit in my head... don't let the subject matter distract you from the beat... ante up was just a looped sample with some drums under it...
16 Barz 05-14-2008, 05:21 PM yeah polls are limited to 10 options... why not pick the most popular and famous joints...
Are you trying to say these are the most famous joints? Because honestly they aren't...Ante Up is a more famous beat then any beat on here I'd say.
Killuminati96 05-14-2008, 05:44 PM No doubt Ms.Jackson.
Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 06:05 PM Are you trying to say these are the most famous joints? Because honestly they aren't...Ante Up is a more famous beat then any beat on here I'd say.
more famous that Stan, Ms. Jackson, and The Light???? alright...
16 Barz 05-14-2008, 06:23 PM more famous that Stan, Ms. Jackson, and The Light???? alright...
Aight maybe not Stan and Ms.Jackson but yeah its more famous than The Light overall among hip hop fans, underground and mainstream combined. And Wu Banga 101 and some of the others aren't anywhere near Ante Up...but this isn't about Ante Up, its about the poor selection overall in beats.
Cengiz 05-14-2008, 06:30 PM I went with Stan on this one...nice beat and I'm not an Em fan.

what a joke, i've listened to more hip hop in a week than you have in your entire life... of course i've listened to dj quik, maybe i ah..... forgot about him. and i go by dope albums of that year it's to hard to remember good songs off shit albums, i don't take this that seriously so i don't go digging.
Cengiz 05-14-2008, 06:35 PM ok so if i put in what the other 10 artists you mentioned, then fuck what do you know....... another 5 people will say where the fucks outkast, wheres ghost, wheres snoop, if you think this is a soft list, either you ain't heard most these beats behind these songs or your taste in good beats is fucked up, go get your head checked

Thats really an ignorant way of thinking. But seriously you left off DJ Quik off of 1998 and 2000...thats insane as he's widely known as a top 10 producer of all time. And come on Ja Rule, Nelly, Jay-Z, all had a big 2000 and none of their beats are here but Ghostface, Deltron, and Wu-Tang are here. No hate against any of them, but the artists I named had some great production and people couldn't bitch if those artists you have weren't in one year because you left Quik off both times so far and Ja wasnt on here or 1999 I'm sure.
Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 06:47 PM Ja has been on the list for Suicide freestyle... and you can't condense a whole year of great hip hop into 3 lists... he's just doing a lil series of what he thinks are his favs... this is the same as when folks were gettin at you about your threads...

ok... get your fucking facts right before you post..
Nelly? he ain't hip hop, and not one of his beats he's been given is better than any on that list...
Jay-Z? i put big pimpin on part 1, nothing else deserves to be on here...
Ja Rule? i put suicide freestyle on 1999 pt 1, his 2 albums that came out in 2000 were so shit they couldn't have made this list...
and boy.... don't say ghost, deltron and wu don't have good production again, your one stupid shit taste in music mother fucker...
Tom.B 05-14-2008, 07:17 PM are you serious??? So you didn't listen to the drums, the piano, and the synthesizers in it??? I'm sorry maybe I was just hearin shit in my head... don't let the subject matter distract you from the beat... ante up was just a looped sample with some drums under it...
Nah i hear what ur saying.....but im not hearing enuf to call this the hottest beat of 2000.....2000 to me was one of the last great years in hip-hop....a lot of good shit dropped....i just dont think this beat belongs there......let alone win........It just seems that ppl are voting for the group and not the beat......IDK...its all based on opinion i guess.....
Cengiz 05-14-2008, 07:20 PM ^ ok for part 3, i want suggestions, give me 10 dope beats... i can't be fucked digging
Tom.B 05-14-2008, 07:21 PM Jay-Z? i put big pimpin on part 1, nothing else deserves to be on here...
..
so ghetto was fire.....think premo did that joint....

I feel you, but I think that was the hottest beat on Stankonia, and it was such a big track, they could've rapped they ABC's over it and it would've hit... its sound spans the most genre's, from its stadium rock feel with the bigness of the drums, it's blues and funk elements, that track is crazy... if you just want some drum and sample based shit, yeah Ante Up takes part of 2000, but Supreme Clientele was the album of the year in 2000, so Mighty Healthy or Apollo Kids trumps everything you Yankees did...
Cengiz 05-14-2008, 07:24 PM so ghetto was fire.....think premo did that joint....
That's true, forgot about that joint.
Tom.B 05-14-2008, 07:32 PM ^ ok for part 3, i want suggestions, give me 10 dope beats... i can't be fucked digging

SC was the shit no doubt......think it had more to do with Ghost's lyrics then the production....production was fire, but Ghost was just sick on that album....
Cengiz 05-14-2008, 07:40 PM I dont know about 10 off the top...... but maybe
Pun - off with his head

Jayant 05-14-2008, 09:16 PM honest expression, not only is the beat good, but one be lo destroys wack emcee's in general on it..
Florida Breeze 05-14-2008, 09:29 PM Miss Jackson, no doubt.
Another great showing by those Atliens.
Ohini Jonez 05-14-2008, 10:27 PM *laughs as Outkast kicks ass in every poll they are put in*
too many outkast `dickriders` helping them win these poll`unfortunately........ they`d take `hey ya` over `t.r.o.y` if ya gave em the choice..........
Ohini Jonez 05-15-2008, 02:48 PM ^^^^no, its just cuz ummmmm.... Outkast gets really hard beats...
Cengiz 05-16-2008, 12:55 AM too many outkast `dickriders` helping them win these poll`unfortunately........ they`d take `hey ya` over `t.r.o.y` if ya gave em the choice..........
Dahahahahahaha someone takes this shit to seriously, and i don't think anybody except maybe 16 barz would vote hey ya over TROY..
MasSGyozA 05-16-2008, 01:02 AM wait wasn't Chronic 2001 from 1999?
wait wasn't Chronic 2001 from 1999?
Yes it was. It won both 1999 polls.
^^^^no, its just cuz ummmmm.... Outkast gets really hard beats...
ms jackson`s soft as shit , ya honestly think it`s a better beat than `the light`?
Dahahahahahaha someone takes this shit to seriously, and i don't think anybody except maybe 16 barz would vote hey ya over TROY..
unfortunately your beat selection makes this poll too hard to take seriously captain cook......... ;)
Ohini Jonez 05-20-2008, 09:08 PM ms jackson`s soft as shit , ya honestly think it`s a better beat than `the light`?
yes... because the Light is sample, bassline, and some drums... no offense to Dilla, it's a great beat, but Ms. Jackson is 10x harder than it... the drums are tougher, the synths are great as well... u just don't like the subject matter, but it's still a better out of love song than Commons love song...
Killer Cosgrove 05-20-2008, 09:18 PM "Honest Expression"... It was hard to choose between that and "Get Cha Walk On"
