Compared to F&L, I thought it was wack.

The Cool was overrated IMO, Ok his first album was worse than The Cool, but The Cool was still tacky... Had maybe 2 or 3 decent songs on it.

I haven't bought much this year. So far I've liked

The Ugly Truth - Prolyphic & Reanimator
The Failure - B.Dolan
Alopecia - Why?
Exiting Arm - Subtle

That's about it this year. Lagging somewhat I'm afraid.

*quick edit*

Not sure if it was an '08 release but Sixtoo's "Jackals and Vipers in Envy of Man" is fucking incredible.

I didn't think he had it in him.

This is probably the best D-Block album in a minute. Sheek (other than jae hood) used to be the weakest link in the Lox, but he's giving Styles P and Jada a run for their money with this album. Good production.

Em..Are you for real??

Yeah I'm for real.

2008 has been a slow year for hip-hop, so far. The summer's coming up though, and then the fall and that's the best time of year for albums so my list is definitely going to change. I really like The Carter 3, but I hope it's not the album of the year because I'll be disappointed.

I'm looking forward to Common, Heltah Skeltah, G-Unit, T.I., Ludacris, Busta Rhymes and a whole bunch of others...this can be a really good season for music.

He never really released a weak album to begin with. He may not be lyrical but his first 2 albums are quality.

After giving eMC's The Show another few listens since i first got it, i have to change my mind on it.. a very good album, very consistent - would have to be my favourite of the year so far just above Ode To The Ghetto.
