Feeling this track though Alan Johnson 06-06-2008, 07:08 PM ^ Retarded for contradicting yourself! feral 06-06-2008, 07:11 PM Not really, singles are usually better quality than the rest of an album, they're for showing off to make you want to buy an album. HHID was pretty poor but it had a few bangers. This track's decent. Better than that Black President ting, but that's not on the album aye? Estate Captain 06-06-2008, 07:12 PM How is it retarded when I said this track was good but the album will be shit? A album consists of many tracks not just one You jockstrap know your place init Poetik Justiz 06-06-2008, 07:14 PM Nas over southern beats...should be interesting if the whole album is like this.. Crackavelli 06-06-2008, 08:57 PM i dont think his album is going to suck...:smh: at everyone expecting his album to suck.. ReziN 06-06-2008, 09:26 PM wow this song as a producer, very nicely produced track, and what better emcee can you have spitting over it then nas nice track. Ohini Jonez 06-06-2008, 09:38 PM Nas over southern beats...should be interesting if the whole album is like this.. word... proves our region is the standard bearer for dope beats... and has been so post Wu tangs dominance... Nickel 06-06-2008, 10:56 PM Nas found his swagger again so fuck nas Nasty is back Alan Johnson 06-07-2008, 12:22 AM How is it retarded when I said this track was good but the album will be shit? A album consists of many tracks not just one You jockstrap know your place init Exactly, so... the only 3 tracks that have been released have been ranging from decent to great, however the album will suck? Yeah lol @ people thinking nas's album will suck, as if the man has really let you down that much! Shift 06-07-2008, 12:35 AM wow man great song.. beat is crazy, kinda reminded me of Jay-Z I know.. JerrodThomas 06-07-2008, 12:55 AM omg, i want this album more than i did carter tree B-Raff 06-07-2008, 01:40 AM Pretty good, not drooling over it but it's good. cmclassic 06-07-2008, 02:23 AM i feel it. the beginning made me mad though. like WHERE THA FUCK YALL AT. thats not nas' style. he killed it though D^Coy 06-07-2008, 03:10 AM Ok song is ok. Raker 06-07-2008, 03:26 AM Nas destroyed this track, how is it possible for an MC to be 17 in the game and still be head and shoulders the best lyricist in the game damn. Poetik Justiz 06-07-2008, 03:41 AM Exactly, so... the only 3 tracks that have been released have been ranging from decent to great, however the album will suck? Yeah lol @ people thinking nas's album will suck, as if the man has really let you down that much! yeah people are trippin..Nas just gets judged on a different scale though, but this album is gonna be good Crackavelli 06-07-2008, 10:32 AM Nas destroyed this track, how is it possible for an MC to be 17 in the game and still be head and shoulders the best lyricist in the game damn. what are you talking about? Nas is 34... Ohini Jonez 06-07-2008, 10:51 AM what are you talking about? Nas is 34... he meant 17 years nigga..... its equivalent to Jordan dunking on Kobe.... Seamo 06-07-2008, 11:39 AM This is quality.. Nas set's high standards thats why people are always expecting something Illmatic like from him when in truth him or anyone else for that matter will drop anything like Illmatic ever again in Hip-Hop. Anyone who thinks different is naive..End of Esocra 06-07-2008, 12:13 PM At first I wasn't feeling the hook or track too much, lyrics are fucking sharp as always, but now the whole shit has grown on me. I can't wait for this album to drop. Ender 06-07-2008, 03:15 PM Shit was nice Florida Breeze 06-07-2008, 03:41 PM I liked it at first... But Nas is getting boring as fuck. Jeru The Damaja 06-07-2008, 03:47 PM The fawning over Nas on this forum knocks me sick, like he's a fuckin God or something. Track is OK, I can't stand the drums on all these Southern type beats though, boring as fuck they must be on every other new track I hear. The beat dominates the lyrics on the hook aswell, lyrically it's good though. pHoLL 06-07-2008, 05:45 PM Ok song is ok. You on that 4chan shit, mayne? uh-oh 06-07-2008, 06:55 PM Not really, singles are usually better quality than the rest of an album, they're for showing off to make you want to buy an album. HHID was pretty poor but it had a few bangers. This track's decent. Better than that Black President ting, but that's not on the album aye? I disagree...singles are what catches peoples attention in the first place but that definitely doesn't make them the best song on the album...I can't actually think of any albums where I think the single is the best song. I thought this track was cool. It isn't anything jaw-dropping but I definitely wouldn't mind hearing it again. I think his album will be good, I actually see it being better than HHID for some reason.. B-Raff 06-07-2008, 07:23 PM The fawning over Nas on this forum knocks me sick, like he's a fuckin God or something. lol... I can't really name many people who have had an equal or greater effect on hip hop than Nas. pHoLL 06-07-2008, 08:10 PM ... there are many who have had a greater effect. B-Raff 06-07-2008, 08:40 PM ... there are many who have had a greater effect. Who? I can't think of much that could have arguably had a greater effect on hip hop or is more highly respected than Illmatic. Seist 06-07-2008, 08:53 PM I liked it at first... But Nas is getting boring as fuck. deadass. but i kind of felt like a little girl after listening to this track. I was excited when i first heard him go in on the first verse. Undoubtedly he fucked this track. the beat is alright, not my favorite. Conz 06-07-2008, 09:17 PM Song is good. This album will probably be good. Nothing more, nothing less. Scrilla 06-07-2008, 09:27 PM am i the only one who doesnt like that song? lol Seamo 06-07-2008, 11:16 PM am i the only one who doesnt like that song? lol Yes.. Crackavelli 06-08-2008, 12:23 AM yes you are, this song rocks lol 24_7 06-08-2008, 01:45 PM Unreal that track. Killuminati96 06-08-2008, 03:18 PM I gotta say this is a dope ass song the beat is fucking crazy too if he sounds like this throughout the album then this shit will be great. MasSGyozA 06-08-2008, 04:44 PM Not really, singles are usually better quality than the rest of an album, they're for showing off to make you want to buy an album. HHID was pretty poor but it had a few bangers. This track's decent. Better than that Black President ting, but that's not on the album aye? Say what? i can't count the times i've bought a cd and ended up liking the singles the least. [EDIT:]and the track "oh what?" cash/ghost KC 06-08-2008, 11:12 PM sick track. to me the beat wasn't the greatest, but nas laced it with lyrics like not many others can love the third verse: This universal apartheid I'm hog-tied, the corporate side Blocking y'all from going to stores and buying it First L.A. and Doug Morris was riding wit it But Newsweek article startled big wigs They said, Nas, why is he trying it? My lawyers only see the Billboard charts as winning Forgetting - Nas the only true rebel since the beginning Still in musical prison, in jail for the flow Try telling Bob Dylan, Bruce, or Billy Joel They can't sing what's in their soul So untitled it is I never change nothin' But people remember this If Nas can't say it, think about these talented kids With new ideas being told what they can and can't spit I can't sit and watch it So, sh!t, I'ma drop it Like it or not You ain't gotta cop it I'm a hustler in the studio Cups of Don Julio No matter what the CD called I'm unbeatable, y'all CFC 01 06-09-2008, 01:47 AM Nice song, but i dont think the beat fits nas well. Scrilla 06-09-2008, 03:01 AM ^ exactly that beat sounds wack with nas Swordsman 06-09-2008, 08:04 AM Not really, singles are usually better quality than the rest of an album, they're for showing off to make you want to buy an album. HHID was pretty poor but it had a few bangers. Uh..? Singles are usually the worst tracks on albums, trying to appeal to a wide audience = dumbed down. The real jewels are in there between. brownyy 06-09-2008, 09:09 AM whats with people just bringing out stupid comments like hes way past his best or its gonna be a shit album etc...if you gonna say that can you please justify it with a reason. I thought HHID was still pretty good so I dunno where people coming up with these sweeping statements about nas. his last few albums have been pretty good in my opinion and you cant expect him to drop something as good as illmatic again and again. I dont see anyreason why the album wont be a solid release. dont mind the song but its just a single. usually the singles are some of the worst songs on the album but yehh will have to wait and see. Is there a release date yet? Living Legend 06-09-2008, 11:48 AM Beat is just irratating, tetris background shit. Lassie's annoying too. Not feelin it, prob like some of the other tracks off the album more. Tony.. 06-09-2008, 01:47 PM i liked the beat.... shit was dope to me... Nas murdered that joint 0bnoxious 06-09-2008, 02:01 PM Dope song, really anticipating the new album now. Spunkface 06-12-2008, 07:08 AM The chorus is so bad haha Death Bed 06-12-2008, 03:22 PM Nas is this most boring emcee gahd I wana like him but damnit I can't..fuck it I give up on Nas.. midge303 06-12-2008, 03:27 PM For some reason, I'm not sure if i like it or not. I find the beat quite annoying Jayant 06-12-2008, 08:51 PM I always knew nas would rip a southern beat with ease, he sounded dope on rich boys ghetto remix and he sounded even better on this, can't wait to hear him on the other track produced by pollow da don... my legacy i think it's called... and the project roach track should be interesting... Jayant 06-12-2008, 08:53 PM Nas is this most boring emcee gahd I wana like him but damnit I can't..fuck it I give up on Nas.. damn i feel sorry for you if you ain't feeling nas... Poetik Justiz 06-12-2008, 11:18 PM The chorus is so bad haha yeah as much as i love this record i must say...they should've cut Keri Hilson out of the chorus except for the part where she sings the word Hero..it sounds really bad how shes kinda ad-libing on Nas' part of the chorus... its also not catchy at all for a single.. Alan Johnson 06-13-2008, 01:32 AM I disagree GreenHitz.com 06-14-2008, 04:03 AM yall all late!! TwentyZ 06-14-2008, 05:38 AM I think it's a good non commercial single- great song, but definitly not for a promotion move. Heard he was making a track with Chris Brown, better be a single for his sales.. Crackavelli 06-14-2008, 10:56 AM lol ^ that sounds like it's going to suck JerrodThomas 06-22-2008, 05:45 PM I liked it at first... But Nas is getting boring as fuck. nas is getting boring as fuck? all the bullshit commercial radio jams are getting boring as fuck... |
