View Full Version : Best Canibus Album???
THE_G.O.D 09-26-2003, 12:53 PM just bought canibus album, Rip The Jacker (great album)
its the only album of canibus i have
any other albums of canibus u would recommend or think are classics???
Maddhatter 09-26-2003, 01:35 PM id pick them all up, you dont need C True Hollywood Stories til maybe youve gotten more into him. Mic Club The Curriculum is similar to Rip The Jacker lyrically, only barely any hooks and all the songs are about 100 bars, and the beats are a lot different. 2000 BC and Can-I-Bus are great also.
XxAdverbxX 09-26-2003, 05:49 PM Canibus 2000 B.C - Definetly a Classic Album
.Inphinite. 09-27-2003, 02:02 PM ^^without doubt..
DominoX5000 09-28-2003, 11:53 PM Canibus 2000 B.C. is the Best So Far
Can I Bus is great but the production was weak
Mic Club was a cool Break through, mostly just lyrics, nothing else
Well, C True Hollywood stories.......you might want to just skip that one....That shit was completely Wack.......but it does follow the Can and Em beef
Plus the He has 2 more Albums that you can order from his websight, MicClub.net
RipperRegardles 10-01-2003, 12:27 AM Just go in order, then you can see how it got to this point, and you wont hate on different era's like everyone else
WaR~ChiLd 10-02-2003, 12:25 PM can i get a B.C
Chris_H 10-03-2003, 02:19 PM A lot of cats are stuck on 2000 B.C. but in my opinion Mic Club - The Curriculum is his best album. If your feeling Rip the Jacker definitely pick up mic club, just skip the intro and outro, this album would have been flawless if he left those off.
DominoX5000 10-04-2003, 04:59 PM The Reason people are still stuck on 2000 BC is because it has more to offer than any other Canibus Album.
Mic Club and Rip the Jacker were designed for the Die-Hard Canibus Fan Base that only concentrates on Lyrics.
BC was more geered toward a large media.
Mic Club and RTJ were ALL LYRICS........
BC was LYRICS, ENTERTAINMENT, MUSIC ETC>
Since I'm from the South, I a goos song also has to have a Good Meldoy to hit your soul and a great Rhythm and Rap Flow to hit your Heart.
RTJ and MIC were just LYRICS for the MIND
BC gave MUSIC for the entire BODY.
Lisa16 10-12-2003, 11:31 AM the debut
can i bus
woop woop

chronic monstah 10-29-2003, 07:21 PM B.C.
first i got RTJ i liked it but i thought canibus was betta than dat
then i got Mic Club and B.C. a month lata at da mall
Mic CLub is good especially the track Bis vs. Rip
But B.C. he freestyled more and it was more "gangsta" so to say
Multiplaxed, 10-30-2003, 03:29 AM Brainstream is alright..
Maddhatter 10-31-2003, 01:35 AM ^yea and he said hes goin to redo Brainstream so the lyrics go with the beat better, thatll make it a lot iller
Chris_H 10-31-2003, 11:34 AM Yeah lyrically brainstream was str8 but the beats were garbage. I can't wait for the new hrsmn album. Hopefully the people he threw out invitations to in that interview will link up for the album. Chino is already on the roster, lets hope he can get the rest. Obviously Em and Jay won't be joining the roster, although the invite was thrown out there.
dejavu 11-05-2003, 08:29 PM I wasn't feelin Can-I-Bus all that much
2000 B.C. was a classic... Mic Club as well... pretty any Bis album you see is worth 12-20 bones
Alienripper 02-11-2004, 10:01 PM mic-club...diff level of lyricsm...
2000 bc had so much energy and hate into it, but still not micclub
ElecTriK ShocKs 02-13-2004, 11:08 AM Mic Club is the best ... i liked 2000 Bc 2 but Rip the jacker is wack ... The beats are not good at all
.Inphinite. 02-13-2004, 02:43 PM the lyricism on Mic Club is par with Reasonable Doubt, Ill-Matic and shit.. Diff shit but still top-Notch lyrics..
-TeK- 02-13-2004, 07:48 PM Mic Club is the best ... i liked 2000 Bc 2 but Rip the jacker is wack ... The beats are not good at all
...who buys a canibus album for the beats?
D-Illar-1 02-13-2004, 10:59 PM As Far as Beat-wise
2000 BC
As Far as Lyrical
Mic Club
But RTJ was one of those disappointments that still came out nice.
-TeK- 02-13-2004, 11:52 PM rip the jacker was SICK lyrically.....i dont know if it tops mic club, but its ill............................ yall must not be really listenin to it :(
TeEdIzZeL 02-15-2004, 11:18 PM ima have to go wit can-i-bus fasho
.Inphinite. 02-16-2004, 09:15 AM rip the jacker was SICK lyrically.....i dont know if it tops mic club, but its ill............................ yall must not be really listenin to it :(

D-Illar-1 02-16-2004, 10:01 AM Yea, RTJ is sick, but it didn't do as well as some peeps expected.
TTX74PLAYA 02-16-2004, 11:21 AM Yea, RTJ is sick, but it didn't do as well as some peeps expected.
You a hoeass nigga
~Damien~ 02-16-2004, 07:20 PM rip the jacker was SICK lyrically.....i dont know if it tops mic club, but its ill.....:(
I thought I was the only one that thought this same shit, seriously..
Apollyon 02-16-2004, 07:47 PM Rip The Jacker WAS sick. Genabis was a nice parallel to the biblical Genesis and had sick wordplay, Psych Evaluation was a lyrical gem as well with original metaphor use, and Poet Laureate II was just plain insane. Not because of it's length, but because of it's length, content and consistent quality, even through the changes in subject matter, which is proof of Bis' versatility.
Mic Club imo is the best Bis album, very sick metaphors, and flow...
RTJ is like a futuristic type album... he goes insane on that one...
ElecTriK ShocKs 02-18-2004, 11:07 AM ...who buys a canibus album for the beats?
Well I don't cop it for the beats .... I'm jus sayin Bis and the beats on that album didn't go 2gether ... i really hated the beats ... lyrics were decent
but Mic Club just the best ...
-TeK- 02-19-2004, 03:18 AM Rip The Jacker WAS sick. ^Indeed. Levitibus COULD have been better, but it was ill.... Spartibus was also nice, Indibisible was hot (second verse was raw)*, and Poet Laureate II is one of my favorite pieces of all time, mainly for the reasons you mentioned.
*Hip hop forever, thats what i see when i look in the mirror
Regardless of whether or not I'm a best seller
I'm a first class spitter, the lyrical literature ripper
Paintin' pictures for intelligent listeners...etc..
D-Illar-1 02-19-2004, 07:12 AM Yea. Spartibus is sick. Genabis was too long to hold my attention the first time I heard it. LOL.
Yur Worst Enemy 02-19-2004, 12:11 PM My old favorite was 2000 B.C. I memorized every single bar in that entire album except for the intro because it was him rapping twice over the same beat.lol
I used to be real arrogant. And think i was the best lyricist in the world. But then I heard Rip The Jacker and I was put back in my place. lol.
Rip the Jacker is lyrically the best album ever made in the history of mankind. Period
~Damien~ 02-19-2004, 06:02 PM ...Poet Laureate II was just plain insane. Not because of it's length, but because of it's length, content and consistent quality, even through the changes in subject matter, which is proof of Bis' versatility.
Damien just wanted to point that out for those who may have missed it the first time. This nigga knows what he's talking about...
Yur Worst Enemy 02-20-2004, 11:49 AM Definitely.
Not to mention how the beat changes a few times in the song and Bis doesn't even take a breath during those changes, He just keeps flowing. That song was a masterpiece
.Inphinite. 02-20-2004, 06:48 PM ^^Definite... Bis is sick!
