I just think the Eminemshow was cheesy...seems to me to be aimed at a younger audience..either that or i'm getting too old..plus, there seemed to be a real decline in the lyrical quality..the Eminemshow hasn't got anything on the Slim Shady LP..those were the days.

Its just come out in Australia...I really like it, but then I'm biased, so who knows! I think his lyrics are still passionate and honest, yet he can have a go at himself, (as well as half the other people in this world) i dont really feel the qualities gone down but maybe his trying to stay outta trouble and toned it down a bit.

I agree with that part, but I still liked the CD, His lyrical spittin' has improved though.

Sing for the Moment is one of the best songs on the album, along with Say What You Say and Superman. Thought u guys were all supposed to be fans, how can you slag any of his music off? He's a genius.

I just DL'd the video. I wasn't IMPRESSED by the video. I did, however, enjoy it more than some of his other stuff, like "The Real Slim Shady". This video seemed to emphasize his lyrics from more of an emotional standpoint. If anyone notices, his more emotional shit is a little more simpler, or consists of a simple storyline, or a deep one. I.e. Stan, and I Am.

I think the song is tight. Nothing more and nothing less. It's no doubt, one of my faves.

The video is actually taking it back to the golden age of rap, where the videos were simplistic as fuck(black and white and shit). That forced the viewer to focus on the lyrics...now these flashy videos(Holidae Inn, Shorty) makes you not care for the artist. Now videos like "Sing For The Moment", "Encore", "The World Is Yours"(Illmatic video in '94) really are what hip-hop is about.

Now MCD..I respect the hell out of you...for all you've done on RW. But seriously...lyrical decline from Slim Shady LP. Now I admit that The Slim Shady LP was a remarkable album with witty lyricism..but a great album is conceptually driven. The SSLP had no concept..it went from "Rock Bottom"(Grim and talking of the pitfalls of poverty) to "Cum On Everybody"(Happy dancing shit, great track). The Eminem Show goes from "White America"(Exposing the white america and it's affect on him) to "Business"(Exposing his place in Hip-Hop) and then to "Cleaning Out My Closet"(Exposing his life). Conceptually. And "Get Rich or Die Trying" ain't shit compared to the lyrical powerhouse that is "The Eminem Show".
