but unless you REALLY good with samples and adding effects to make it sounds non fruity-ish, forget fruity.

and unless you have lots of talent playing a midi keyboard, be wary of reason


so best for starters, is fruity. you can prolly download it free off kazaa or something

your best bet is to start of with the basics....

sampler: gigastudio 160 (most pros use it)

sequencer: cubase vst/ 32 (thanx tim) but cubase sx 2.0 is the shit now!
dont bother with using logic, unless u got a mac? its a bit complex

oh yeah... adobe audition (the new cool edit) for the mastering and equalizing but if u got a mac (and loads of spare money) go for logic platinum 6 and pro tools...bit complex but best choice.....dont be a silly boy and get fruity loops, thats just pointless( like music 2000)

u can download cooledit pro on kazaa... just get version 2.... and same wiht fruity loops u can download that too thats what i did

use cooledit to cut samples and then fruity loops to make the beat
