- Earlier today, it was announced that Brock Lesnar told the company his last date for WWE would be at WrestleMania.

More news has came out on this story, and it appears that WrestleMania XX may mark Brock Lesnar's last date in the WWE permanently.

At the pre-show talent meeting at Tuesday's SmackDown tapings, Lesnar stood up in front of the Smackdown crew announced that he was leaving WWE after WrestleMania to pursue a career in the National Football League.

Lesnar had just recently signed a 7-year deal with the WWE. Apparently the company was made aware of this last week when Lesnar told Vince McMahon of his decision at Smackdown.

Lesnar met with Vince McMahon last week at Smackdown and voiced his concerns (travel schedule etc) and informed him at that time that he was going to leave WWE.

In addition to this, Lesnar has also reportedly been upset that he was going to have to put over the Undertaker’s Dead Man character after Mania. Lesnar reportedly wasn't happy that he would be in a feud with a guy who, by the nature of his character, doesn’t sell for his opponent.

Apparently, Lesnar even went as far as saying that he was miserable in the wrestling business. He said that he couldn't find anymore happiness in the industry.

In addition to this, he publically thanked Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Gerry Brisco "for finding me in college," and thanked Big Show and Paul Heyman for all their help with his career.

At that point he told the SmackDown crew he wouldn't be back and he was said to be very emotional and wished everyone well.

The talent were obviously shocked by this statement and had mixed reactions. Some talent felt that this will open up opportunities for the talent.

Many had been critical of Brock’s “elitist” behavior of late and felt that he hadn’t payed his dues in the WWE. Many said he didn't deserve to be upset about not being pushed as a main-eventer. They are now saying that they can understand that he may have been that way because he was unhappy.

Suffice to say, WWE is losing one of its biggest stars, this time, it sounds like it is for good.

This comes as a huge suprise the one guy who the WWE pushed so quickly to the top. In my personal opinion him being unhappy and what not can be attributed to his quick push to the top. He never really had to work hard within the company or pay his dues to get there. For those of you who don't know, Brock Lesnar was recruited by WWE out of college. Upon winning the WWE Championship he set two records. One was becoming the youngest person to win the WWE Title at the age of 25 (originally The Rock at the age of 28) and the shortest amount of time being there when winning his Championship which was 5 months (before him it was Kurt Angle who was the only person to win the title in his 1st year with the company.)

Personally I liked Brock Lesnar, but I do agree the company has gotten madd stale with it's talent and I'm sure he feels he could have better, but he didnt pay his dues as I said. Shit if it was me I would stick with them and make that money just doing my thug thizzle.

Better join that Falcons D. All we need is a better D and that'd be the end. We'd be the best in the NFC.

I think it's all a work. The rumor was supposed to be that Lesnar was gonna get a tryout with the Vikings in the srping, but the head coach said that he's heard the rumor and hasn't been in talks with Lesnar at all..

I dont think backstage shit like that would be a work on WWE's part...but a friend of mind said (althought this isnt 2 believable but would be vicious) that he might just be saying NFL and really going to NWA TNA. I cant wait til they get on cable *sighs*

That's if they have the chance of GETTING on cable, they have to find a station that wants them first... However, I would like for them to get on cable because it would help bring the 'best' out of WWE... Wasn't WWE a lot better during the days when WCW and ECW was around because they had companies to bring them competition?

Wrestling's turned weak. It's all just predictable blah now. I'm a hardcore fan, I guess you could say, so I'll never stop watching it. But I hope they step up. So do you guys think Brock would be a good addition to any team in the NFL? Or would he be like Goldberg and sit the bench all the time?

^I have to disagree I really liked WM20. Except for a few matches like Lesnar & Goldberg which I really hated, and Taker & Kane was aight coulda been better but I'm just happy to see the old Undertaker back, but Angle & Guerrerro was vicious.
