lol If you listen to track 14 on Volume 1 titled "You Must Love Me" he's talking about fighting with his brothers and how when he was younger he stole his clothes and shooting him. Then track 13 on Blueprint the title song "Blueprint" he says "Eric was fly, shit, I used to steal his gear." I mean I realize not EVERYthing said is true but...yea.

When Jay-Z was nine his brother stole his ring. For some unknown reason the ring had a sentimental value to Jay and he grabbed a gun and shot his brother in the shoulder. His brother didn't die or nothing like that. It's just one of those things that happen when you're pissed. Hell, I remember my older sister pulling a knife on me plenty of times. lol
