I think you guys should give out awards each month for like the top 3 rappers and top 3 songs of the month for people who post in the Audio Drop. Like most improved and etc would be tight too.

Yeah, that would be kool. Yeah like a thread can be made called "Awards" or something. And a list of people have to submit names of rappers that should be put in the category, and then they vote for the top three.

I agree with MC Illest on how people will vote. But I was thinking that the owner of the board should pick about 5 people who DO NOT post audios and is not the most popular person here. It should be someone new, so that nobody will have an advantage with a judge.

Then in the future, like the most popular rappers here who has be doing there thing for some months could become a judge for a month or two. But the rapper also has to be real good cause there can be popular rappers here who are not the best at the board.

Wouldn't it be better by doing it by using a poll then every member could have their vote?

Yeah cause if we go to a poll, we all know that people will be desperate enough to just send mass messgages on some online program to get votes. Like send a message to everyone on there AIM list to vote for them.

I'll set it up in the Dope Rhymes forum on a sticky using Prolific Emcee's categories...i dunno if this is gonna work but who knows???..

Monthly awards thing should be change up a little.

There are 24 replies to the thread you posted and only about 4 or 5 people actually voted. The extra comments needs to be eliminated or do it the way I have in mind which i will let you know.

When I came up with the idea I was thinking that they can choose from a poll or send there votes to MCD threw a private message. When you vote for somethen like this you are not suppose to let everyone know the results. Keep it a secret until the deadline. You should start the awards a week before the month ends so it will give everyone a week to vote.

Thats my thoughts on how it should be run.

polls can be jacked by that you can keep making up fake names and vote for yourself

I got a question

If someone joins after the votings are finished but gets enough posts until they are a member are they still eligible for the rookie category in the next awards?

Like me, he just joined in May right after the awards but I got more than 50 votes so am I eligble for the rookie category since I wasn't here for the last RW awards?

I still would prefer the owners of the board picking like 3 or 5 people to choose who wins the awards, so then there will be no conspiracy or crying about how he/she got cheated out of the award and etc.

I'm sure 3 rap fans would like to be a judge here :)

well by the judges picking, they will know everyone who is on the board as there are plenty of people on this board who is capable of winning a award but do not have a known name here.

The people who vote have not listen to all the songs and the judges job will be to listen to each rapper and then when its time to pick a winner for each category they will all pick.

So that way the new comers wont get screwed out, cause people can drop hot tracks but there thread will only get viewed by like 10 people with only 1 reply u feel me.
