I liked Jay-Z's work up until he came out Blueprint and Blueprint2. He just sunk in my opinion. The best song on Blueprint was "takeover" and on Blueprint 2 was a couple I cant name right now.

Y'all got to be crazy Jay is the best in the game. Blueprint is his 2nd best album, behind Reasonable Doubt. BP2 was a total of 25 tracks, and at least 16 of them were hot. Had Jay just took those 16 tracks and made one disc, it would be right there with Blueprint 1. Stop hatin' the king.

Go back and actually listen to Ether and Takeover. If you actually listen with an unbiased ear, you'll see that Jay spits more actual facts, where as Nas is just clownin'. Ether was a big blow to Jay, but it by no means knocked him off. Listen to the track Blueprint 2 from the new album. I like Nas and Jay equally, but Nas didn't do as much damage as everyone trys to say he did.

A while back MTV Base, did a show Nas v Jay - z, they took the lyrics into consideration to see who wins the battle and even though jay does put forward true statements Nas demolishes him with Ether, nonetheless clowning or not.

In the original takeover that jay sang at a concert, i think there was only one line dissing Nas- "Nas don't want it with HO, Nooooooooooo", then nas did the quick reply and then for the album jay adds a verse to takeover. True takeover and superugly are good disses, with the latter being the better one.

Oh shit, MTV Base said it so it must be true.

Anyway, Jay-Z's been on a high since 2000 with Dynasty. The Blueprint was the peak of that high, and Blueprint 2 is the start of a comedown. Hopefully he'll put his all into this supposed last album.
