I know I do. Last night when I went to sleep I had the TV on BET and Midnight Love was on. So I'm layin there and they show 3 Usher videos back to back to back. "Nice & Slow", "You Got It Bad", and "Burn." And I would be a liar if I said none of these songs favor each other. So it made me ask how many of you feel like you're hearing the same songs over and over from some of these artists. We all can agree to some extent that Jagged Edge pumps out the same sound often.
But I think the one person who is making EVVVVVERRRYYYTHAAAANNNNGGG sound alike is my man Lil Jon. I mean dayum, everybeat yo? lol. Okay not quite everybeat, but just put it like this, as a producer I would know, there's a difference between a similar sound (using similar type instruments in different ways, different changes and what not) and the same sound (using the same instruments often the same way each time.) I mean "yeah" sounds like "Freak-A-Leek" sounds like "Get Low" then you got "Headbussaz" which favors "Neva Eva" which sounds alot like "Act A Fool (master p)" which reminds me of "Damn" which if you think about it sounds like "Get Low" which could almost be "Freak-A-Leek" I mean dayum! lol
