Sage Francis Is Godlike ... he's My nr1 Favorite MC ... and he sure can rap ... his delivery is creative as fuck. Everything about him is creative...

But I Really suggest the personal journalist album , or the Hope album

personal journals is overrated man. its emo rap, he sounds like he is gonna cry on half the tracks, download crack pipes and then leave that shit alone. check non-prophets though, they are live as fuck, sage rips up so many cats on that album. the production isn't that imaginative, but it gets your head nodding. i was into sage francis about two years ago, and after listening to personal journals a few times, i saw it wasn't all that. he is imaginative, and his honesty is refreshing, but he is much better as a battle rapper than doing all that emotional shit. leave that to the other anticon cats.

The thing you have to remember is that the Non-Prophets LP was recorded over about 5 years, so it has a really young Sage (in terms of his career) on it too. Personally, I loved his solo LP - I thought it was quite deep and throught provoking. Some of the production was a bit shitty though.
