you should really try to get some public atmosphere first tho. go out in front of a crowd and bust a freestyle. after you've got rid (kool if you dont have it) of stage fright, then you should look into gettin a mic and a music program. If you short on beats look for these things at Best Buy or an electronic store that you know of, they look like little turntables. I dont know my device's name currently because i had to return it. Anyways, it comes with a program and a little turntable device. You can chop and cut beats from songs you already have and record over them. Its illegal as hell but thats how i plan to make my demo. oh yea, good luck

well of course not, i said freestyle. but you need to get crowd recognition for sales and what not, or to get free promotions. thats why im out everyday at Central Park, just rhyming. you need experience with words to become a better rapper overall. So even if you just spit somethin its still experience. if you wanna look at some rhymes manick go to the cypher forum.

I agree with Lo Cee u gotta get ya confidence up first, I thought I could just get behind a mic n spit whatever Id wrote but it aint like that.. Gotta be able to concentrate on what ya doin fully, that dont just come natural, I still aint mastered spittin n it pisses me right off.. I really gotta be in the mood, same goes for freestylin, If Im in the mood I could freestyle for an hour straight, if not its more like 6 bars haha

Anywayz Id say Cubase is the best programme to use but its pretty hard to work out (I aint got a clue how to use it) CoolEdit Pro is pretty safe n easy thats what we're usin at the moment, as for mics dont get a cordless one they sound wank.. Just get an average plug in mic til you get ya skill n mic presence up

Gud luck
