SomethingAwfl 01-11-2005, 05:09 PM cool thread man never knew u into cars that much. so what kind of cars u like? (not meaning brand) like ricer, sleeper etc....
J.Griff 01-11-2005, 05:22 PM Im a volvo nut mainly witch clearly will always be a sleeper.. lol
but i also do alot of tunning for friends but my pasion falls into older volvos 200 series bodys. right now a 74 P1800.
My expierence ranges from building everything from a 77 F150 that runs 100% on propain, to alot of german /sweed/ euro. I have also built 2 different forced induction V8's one was a twin turbo and one was supercharged. I grew up on cars and in garages so its just somthing i have always done.
Tw!stEd 01-11-2005, 05:45 PM My termanology isn't that good...
Is ricer someone who likes import cars?
And what is sleeper?
I start driving this summer, and will proberly buy an old ford fiesta or peogeot 106, because they are cheap to insure...
Proberly doing no work on it, bar sound systeme.
Hopefully I will have enough cash when im in my 20's to get a sports coupe and do that up.

Ricer= preety much eaquals all show no go. The type of people who go out put an areo body kit big wing some indiglo gauges and one of those huge loud as hell mufflers on a stock exhuast system.
Most of the time the only "performance" parts they have are cold air intakes/race seats/muffler...
Sleeper: is somthing that you role up next to and you think to your self " that car is slow as hell, why is he reving his motor" then all of a sudden it leaves you with ya jaw droped as its 10 car lengths ahead of you....
I once saw a ford fiesta with a tarus SHO motor mounted in the back hatch..
One of the coolest installs ive ever seen. NOW THAT IS A SLEEPER!!!

No offense taken.... Most poeple dont like the way volvo's lool. Like i said many times befor VOLVO lovers are a rare breed and usualy not that normal.
The silver one was highly modified.
Fordged internals= pistons rods and bearings are a realy hard steel that are molded. This means no seams in them so they can take a shit load of abuse and boost. they stood up to 23 psi {pounds square inch}
In simple terms they can take a hell of alot of turbo. lol
Head was worked to be able to move about twice as much air in and out of the head. {stage 3 port polish squish and swirl}
3 inch exhuast from downpipe back. to tail pipe. {no cat just 1 dyno muffler}
And a bunch of shit you prob dont understand but i will be explaining in different threads in simple terms so people can begin to understand..
The blue one you see under it is completely stock just has been restored and paint a non factory color.
SomethingAwfl 01-11-2005, 10:47 PM ^^^^^i only see a pic of the blue car..... wierd....
J.Griff 01-12-2005, 12:33 AM The silver one's the body was still in prep for paint in thesse pic's are here.
