Just some info on how turbo's work and what the actualy do for you.

Any questions just ask.......

Whoa................I never been in this forum before, I never knew it existed! ~ill~ you know your shit man. Are you a mechanic or sumthin?
I got a question, its aboput valves and I just wondered about this cuz I'm not sure. Is the more valves you got, the better engine, e.g is a 24 valve car faster/better then a 16 valve car? peace

Yes and no.. lol
Ok when just refering to the head Yes more valves is better. what the valves in conjuction with the camshafts do is move air into and out of the head.
The more air you can move into the head the more you need to get out of the head. Exspecial in turbo or supercharged set ups.
Now this does not always mean faster. Usualy the camshafts determine how your car perform's. There are lobe's on a cam that preety much time when the air inlet vales open and take air in then close and open the exhuast vales to let air out into the exhuast.
e.g A 16 valve head has 8 inlet vales and 8 ehuast valves. Turbo and supercharged heads use sodiom filled exhuast valves.
Dohc {Dual OverHead Cams} heads have 2 camshafts one dedicated to the air valves and one dedicated to the exhuast valves. Hence a dohc head is better becuase you can time the air and exhuast seperately. Where a car with a Sohc {Single OverHead Cam} times both with one cam hence you ahve to up up one to gain on another.
Vtec Head's actualy have a 3rd lobe set up that kicks in with lifters to go to a whole different performance cam lobe when you hit 73% wot {wide open throatle}. Thesse are realy nice motors when super charged....

^^^ Agree with everything except that word is "throttle" not "throatle." :p
Yea, Vtec motors do take kindly to superchargers but they take even better to turbo's. I've turbo'd a b18 before using a T25. Kind of a small turbo for the amount of air the head can flow but the car performed well.
I drive an Eclipse, 16G Turbo, VPC, GCC, and some other good stuff. ILL, know anyone with a wideband? I need to tune my shit but don't feel like springing any money. Hopefully by tomorrow, if all goes well, I'll have my ACT clutch and lightweight flywheel combo installed by yours truly! :D
