I know your a Volvo nut, but how do them Volvos that you post up compare to the Jap performance such as Supras, Skylines, Evos and Scoobys? I mean I know they fast tuned but are they faster then these? And by the way, don't you prefer the looks of the Supra to a square Volvo? (I love Supras by the way :D )

This is a wide based question. If your refering to the models and years i am a nut for. 1974-85 they dont compare at all. The supras skylines ect ect of today are far advanced in design and tech for performance acpects.

If you want to compare the volvos of today, volvo does offer a "luxary sedan." the S80 T6 witch is a twin turbo 6cyl that in stock form puts 360 HP {at the wheels} at 12psi. This car would be in the same hp class just at a higher wieght class. Unfourtantly you canot get this car with this motor for under $50,000 due to the fact it is a luxary sedan.

There are very few car's that are "affordable" that compete with the cars list in an OUT OF THE BOX form...

As far as what my prefrence is. Part of the reason i love thesse cars so much is becuase so many people dislike them. They are very easy to make your own to with out losing the look of the volvo. Like i said volvo lovers are a strange breed......
Not all volvo's are square....

Yeah I know what you mean, that Volvo is damn nice, but for the money you could surley buy a faster, quicker nicer looking car that handles alot better. And which Volvos do you have again?

I only have the 74 P1800. The blue one up top is not mine but it is a 73 P1800 already restored. I paid $1300 in piss poor condition. Will more then likley have 10 grand in it when its fully done.

My last project was a 83 244ti. paid $500 droped about $2600 into it.
Dyno'ed at 328 hp at the rear wheels at 23 P.S.I
The best 1/4 mile run it had was a low 12.

Like i said when you love a paticular its becuase its that car. Some poeple like cars that come fast and some like to build fast cars out of what everybody else never would. .
Matter a fact im going to throw a thread up in like 10-15 mins jus for you... brb

for 3,000 you coulda droped a grand for a '88 supra and 2 in the engine and tuning and would be running low 11's..........

My first project '97 gsr b18 integra all motor runnin high 11's......total of 8,000

Current project '04 WRX with fuel injectors , header, downpipe , skunk2 exhaust , stillen stage 2 turbo , injen intake , and intake manifold , runs low 11's at 20 psi...runs mid 10's with 75 shot.... saving for 150 wet shot , and upgraded turbo

Yea but like ive said a hundred times 50,000 people do the same thing. I like volvo's.

ALL MOTOR  This is somthing i would have like to drive.

All that and your only running 11's. That car runs high 12's on slicks from the factory. Plus your running a DRY shot of 75 ... errrr sounds painfull for the motor... You must be dumping a shit load of fuel threw those injectors. What type of injector and controler are you using....

the Wrx bone stock runs high 13's the Sti version runs 12's...yes the dry nos is hurting the engine and the pocket... but im uppin for a trade this guy wants my WRX for his STI...thinkin bout it...but i think something is wrong with it...cause thats just stupid trading an STI for a WRX..but none the less im taking it for the day and checking it out....Fuel injectors im not sure about my brother had the car for awhile cause i was in jail and he made the modifacations...but the only reason im runnin slower is bcuz it hasn't been tuned yet and im sure the timing is off..im gettin a new cam shaft to get more left out the intake and exhaust valves so i can get more notrious in there for a longer time.......im sure once im done i could run low 10's hopefully..i got pictures of b4 and after of my acura and jiss b4 pics of the WRX....What kind of car you got and whats it runnin....Yes the integra is my baby and dont get it twisted its a street sleeper...and im not done with it yet...but its very fun to drive...

^^I cal BS on all of that - the WRX and the integra. No way in shit a WRX would sleep well with a 75 dry - aside from the fact that they dont' evne make 75 dry shots. They only go to 50 dry.

As for that integ - you say it ran 11's @ 125 all motor, but the pics are obviously turbo'd (I could tell by the OBX manifold and the intercooler). I could even name the parts, lol. I used to work on Hondas, stangs and 911's over the last 4 years man. None of your shit adds up at all. Specially the part about an 88 supra runing mid 11's for 3k. I won't even mention this shit about someoen wanting to trade an STi for a WRX...

BTW - WRX's don't run 13's on slicks and STi's don't run 12's on slicks either, lol. They both go home on trailers.
