First off the amp your describing is a BASS GUITAR amp and is not made to be used in a car. Its made to be pluged into a house outlet. Not somthing you use in a car. SWR Bass 350 (http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--SWR350X)
DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL THIS IN YOUR CAR....
As far as the CD Player. All wirring on Auto CD player became generic in the early 90's.
Solid Yellow Wire= Constant Power. A source of power that always has 12 volts.
Solid Red Wire= Switched Power Source. A source of power that shuts off when the car's key is turned off.
Solid Black= Ground. Look for a screw or bolt that is threaded into metal. This always works good.
Solid Blue= Power antena Wire. If you have a power antena you would hook it to this wire.
Blue with a white stripe= Amp switched Feed. When you do get a auto amp this wire gets ran to the switched power hook up on the amp.
Now after that is all hooked up you should eb left with 8 wires.
Most of the time it will be
2 green
2 purple
2 grey
2 white
thesse are the speaker wires. For each there will be one solid and one with a stripe. The ones that have a stripe are the negetive hook ups for each speaker and the ones that are solid are the positives for each speaker.
I would recomend going to an electronics shop and picking up a "harness adapter" and a DIN style mounting bracket, this will make the instalation realy clean and only cost about $15-$30 total on average. This way you dont have to cut the factory radio harness and will make the hard part of the install {figuring out the factory wires} realy easy.
Good luck and anything else i can help please feel free to ask.....

~ill~ I was wondering when I get my first car,I wanna big Ice install in the boot, with 2 subs and an amp, but will my windows crack if I turned it up too loud, I remember reading that if you get alot of ice that you should get sumthin done to your rear windows to stop them smashing. ?

After some quick research i have come to the conclusion that the term "BIG ICE" is a uk tunner slang for some Compition style install....?
Glass reinforcment is only needed in extreem high pressure installs. e.g: I installed 4-15 inch soundstream spl's bout 3 years ago that were powered with 2 soundstream 2200 watt amps. This set up cracked {not smashed} a ford escort hatch window about 3 inches with a bass test CD.
I will also say i have only heard of this being needed in compition becuase all the windows are rolled up when the head is maxed out for spl compitions.
If this is going to be a street car for you {not compition} You can trust your ear drums will give out before your glass does.
Please start threads for your self so others can have the same questions answered.

Ok thanx, and a Big Ice install isnt in competitions, it's just a set up of a whole lot of speaker, subs and amps in your car.
