View Full Version : Should Jay-Z Have Retired? Don_C 01-21-2005, 09:29 PM I don't think so, feel free to post your thoughts on that... Hawk 01-23-2005, 10:32 AM Yeah, I mean he could have came out with a couple more albums. Rhyme~City 01-23-2005, 09:00 PM To Me His Retirement Was A Way Of Seperating Himself From Rocafella...He Still Droppin Tracks Doin Mixtapes And All That But Now He's becomin More Of A Bussiness Man But He's Still Jay-Z Not Matter Wat he Does Or Wat Name He Goes By CRUGER 01-24-2005, 04:28 PM I Didn't Vote Coz He Hasn't Retired At All, He's Done Loads Of Tunes, Featured On Loads Of Things, Brought Out Mixtapes And Released 2 Albums! 1 With R-kelly And 1 With Linken Park, I'm Sorry But that Is Not Retiring *caDo* 01-25-2005, 11:54 PM Good Choice "retiring" "When i come back like jordan, wearing the 4-5, it aint to play games at you, its to aim at u...." ^^^People gon go crazy for no reason when he puts out his next album. I know it. He knows it. H_O_V 01-26-2005, 09:01 AM Like dude said above, he never did retire. He still droppin tracks every week. I didnt believe in all that hype anywayz. But if he do drop another solo lp i hope it aint half assed. Arminius 01-31-2005, 11:23 PM i also don't think that he's retired yet. but i got a strange feeling he and pharrell are planning something jose145 02-01-2005, 12:30 AM i think he shouldnt Don_C 02-02-2005, 12:59 PM Lol, Jay-Z is dropping old tracks that you haven't heard! He hasn't recorded them after the black album. The tracks he's realising aren't new simple and plain. And he isn't dropping them everyday quit hyping shit up, most of it is R. Kelly Best of Both Worlds shit. Come on don't be so gullable. Pac is dead and he has a new album out..so what if you still drop tracks its proof of nothing. JAY-Z IS RETIRED!! And when Jay Z said: "When i come back like jordan, wearing the 4-5, it aint to play games at you, its to aim at u...." He doesnt mean he's coming back, what he means is that if he does come back he's coming with a vengeance.. Ya'll gotta learn to think critically and to not believe everything you see. Jay ain't coming back unless he run outta money, which is highly unlikely. Phoenix2k5 02-02-2005, 02:55 PM Lol, Jay-Z is dropping old tracks that you haven't heard! First off, Jay-Z sold Roc-a to Def Jam and then was named President and CEO of Def Jam Records. He is in charge of Def Jam, but reports to LA Reid in that respect. Also, part of the deal was he remains in total control of Roc-a and reports to no one concerning Roc-a-Fella. Furthermore, Jay just signed a 1 album deal with Aftermath as S. Carter. Of course, Dre will be producing that shit. Don_C 02-05-2005, 11:03 PM I can't believe you would post something like that, you obviously haven't been reading the headlines. And so what he sells the roc that has nothing to do with making songs, I cant believe you "Posted that!" You said nothing to prove me wrong..Lol. The niggas retired until he comes back if he comes back. dylsta 02-06-2005, 01:55 AM yeah it was his time MakaVeli17 02-06-2005, 01:31 PM I think he should of retired because he was starting to get repetitive and he even said it himself on the song "What More Can I Say". He's basically saying what more can I say or do to show you that I am one the greatest rappers of all time. He's made plenty of money and had plenty of albums so yes I think it was his time to go. Don_C 02-07-2005, 12:06 AM ^^ Good point. |
