Eminem's mother has appeared on U.S. television to express her concern about her son's state of mind, describing him as "very unhappy."

Debbie Mathers-Briggs was the guest of controversial anti-hip hop television host Bill O'Reilly who was pivotal in the campaign against Ludacris' Pepsi commercial that led to the soft drinks company dropping the advertisement.

"From what I've heard, Marshall has been drinking alot. Drinking is an escape," she told O'Reilly. "He's my son. It's very dangerous out there, the rap world I was told, can be very deadly."

The interview also touched on Eminem's well-documented anger towards his mother and the way which he has exorcised those demons in song.

"I was there with him for fourteen years, it was me and him against the world. I love him a lot and he's got to know that deep down inside. I have always been there for him and I always will be," she said.

When asked if she regretted being unable to share in Eminem's success, Mathers said, "It would be nice if sometimes I could be there."

Meanwhile, police in New Jersey have arrested a bank robber who had been dubbed the 'Eminem Robber' because of his intentional likeness to the rapper and film star.

44-year-old Michael R. Hasuga was arrested as he prepared to rob The Valley National Bank in Belleville, New Jersey.

i just can't believe how innocent she is trying to make herself look! i mean, if she was really there for him and cared about him why has she filed multiple lawsuits against him?!?
