...the law should allow a person who is a persistent vegetative state to remain on life support of any kind, and never allow that life support to be removed unless the victim can be proved to have wished otherwise?

THE TRUTH 03-24-2005, 07:42 PM ...the law should allow a person who is a persistent vegetative state to remain on life support of any kind, and never allow that life support to be removed unless the victim can be proved to have wished otherwise? Everybody has a right to live, unless they want to die themselves. Is this brought on because of that news story about the dying woman who hasnt been allowed food for 5-6 days? Sphyzex 9 03-24-2005, 07:51 PM ...the law should allow a person who is a persistent vegetative state to remain on life support of any kind, and never allow that life support to be removed unless the victim can be proved to have wished otherwise?I read at a 4th grade level. Ur on your own buddy. THE TRUTH 03-24-2005, 07:54 PM Yeah, it was a thread made in regards that decision. -Saracen- 03-24-2005, 07:56 PM I agree with the statement Truth. Everybody has a right to live, unless they want to die themselves. Is this brought on because of that news story about the dying woman who hasnt been allowed food for 5-6 days? ^ I persume so, 'coz THE TRUTH is currently living and attending a Uni in London, I think. Anyways, I do not agree. If you have been blessed with life, then you should not want to assited with euthanasia or w/e. To live is a gift, why would an individual want to throw that gift back, even those people who are in great suffering? I don't believe in it... and neither does Islam. THE TRUTH 03-24-2005, 07:59 PM I'm currently doing what? deleted 03-24-2005, 08:39 PM Why havent you changed your sig yet truth... and I'm not sure which way to lean on this..because if man is capable of prolonging life, and god gave us the capacity to learn and understand it, then it should try and be saved...but then again, man is capable of doing alot of things.. SomethingAwfl 03-24-2005, 08:47 PM Saw This SHit In The News. Its A Big Story. But I'm Pretty Sure That That Women Who Had Her Feeding Tube Taken Away Had Told Her Husband To Let Her Die Earlier. But In General, I Am Borderline. It IS Someone's Life, But, If It Happened To My Mother Or My Close Friend Or Something, I Think I Would Have Them Put To Rest. It Really Depends, Does Anyone Know The Chance Of Someone In That Condition To "Come Back To Life?" If It Is Like More Than 5%, I Would Say Let Them Live. THE TRUTH 03-24-2005, 09:25 PM A permanent vegetative state means "brain death" ... means no "brain stem life" ... the only way you do anything is by way of machine. SomethingAwfl 03-24-2005, 09:29 PM ^^^^So Basically 0% Of Rejuvination. So, I Would Have The Person Laid To Rest. The Only Issue Is That This Contradicts My Other Beliefs, That The Brain Isn't Everything, And That Everyone Has A Soul. I Really Don't Know B/C I Believe Strongly In Both Sides AvAnEw 03-25-2005, 02:02 AM Truth dogg whas poppin witchu pimp'n? holla @ me .. when u got time .. Multiplaxed, 03-25-2005, 05:12 AM Couple of issues raised here... i don't think that the use of life machines should have been used in the first place. Imo, they should only be used in situations where there is a chance of recovery. It's prolonging their death so yeah, it might be euthanasia in some manner but if there was no life machine used then there wouldn't be an option. I disagree with Euthanasia, but then i also disagree with the use of Life Machines... The Obscured 03-25-2005, 07:15 PM hmm with all with what was said, i dont know..and i dont like yall.. THE TRUTH 03-25-2005, 07:20 PM You seem to be having a problem today, babes .... ^^ The Obscured 03-25-2005, 07:22 PM problem today? problem yesterday? yes, i dont like you though. :) |
