Alright, I'm taking a trip this summer. I need to figure out approximately how much gas I'm going to need for the trip

Average Gas Price in America - $1.738 per gallon
Trip Miles - 1254.65 miles
Combined (Highway and City) MPG of my car - 47

I suck really badly at math, especially division. I tried it on a calculator, but the result doesn't seem right.

I got an estimated $46.45, but that doesn't seem correct to me. It just seems too low for a cross country drive.

^^You sure? Because at 47 miles a gallon, it shouldn't be that much. No AC, and that's combined MPG so the stopping and going is accounted for.

I dunno though. I've never done this type of shit, you'd know better than I would. Hell, not like extra money is going to hurt if you do happen to be incorrect.
