Hailie To Be An Actress?
'Kimberley Mathers, wife of rap star Eminem, wants their daughter, seven year old Hailie Jade to fulfill her dream of becoming an actress. Kim told Eminem to send Hailie to stage school, but he refused because he thinks a normal education is important for Hailie ("she has to have something normal in her life to help her fit in as much as possible. It's hard for her because everywhere she is, all kids wanna know is can I meet your dad?"). Kim is now looking into acting classes and theatre groups as well as agents for the little girl.
Eminem has said he's fine with the acting classes, but he refuses to get his young child an agent, due to the stressful pains of working in show business. He said that Hailie "is just a kid. She needs to grow like others her age and be in a place where she fits in and feels normal." He said, "Just because her daddy is famous don't mean shes got a one way ticket to stardom. Every seven year old wants to be famous, I just dont think Hailie's old enough to make up her mind yet. She's young and there will be time for her to act when she's done with school."
More than anything else, Eminem is only too aware of the pressures stardom brings. "There aint no such thing as a Hollywood kid thataint on drugs. Those dudes are more pumped than me!" He said. But Kim is determined that her daughter will make it. A friend said, "Kim just wants Hailie to enjoy her childhood. I know that Hailie Jade is good friends with Chloe Greenfield who played Lily in 8 Mile. Eminem had invited her for a slumber party after they started shooting the film and Hailie loved her." However, one thing is certain, Kimberley Mathers may stamp her foot, but she will not get her own way this time. Eminem said, "There is no way my little girl is gonna be in every f***ing newspaper or magazine. Its my job to protect her. I didnt go into the industry to make her a star. Shes just a f***ing kid and shes normal and that is how it will stay." Looks like Kim may have to bite the bullet on this one.'
