There are several black kids in my school who insist on referring to my type as 'sand niggers'. Now I don't really find this offensive b/c (A) it has no meaning (B) I just ignore em ...

If I can deal with them calling me a sand-nigger, I think y'all should deal with us calling you niggers. And maybe that is inaccurate, maybe I'm the only one thats not offended by the term sand nigger. But if that's so, then black people in my school are offending others by calling them sand-niggers, and getting mad when we offend them with the word nigger.

I only say it when im singing a song and even when anyone who hears me never says anything because they know i got no beef with other peoples. But its not racist at all. After all we're all humans, we all have 2 legs, red blood, heart, lungs..its all the same. We're all 1 race so when we call each other names such as 'sand-nigger' or 'nigger' then we're only being racist to our own race.

So ghost, are you saying that all this time we've just been using the wrong word for this type of discrimination? Should we change "racism" to something else.

People at my school call me a 'whigger' cause I wear ecko, phat farm, and clothes like that. It has nothing to do with how I act or talk at all. I don't really get that. I don't act like a gangsta or anything, and 95% of the time I'm smarter then people that call me it, so I don't really pay attention to it. They say their not racist, so I guess there clotheist?

Some blacks are offended, some aren't... If you grow up around it, and you hear it a lot, you sometimes say it, like I do... I don't say it in any racist way... But... one of my friends was offended when I said it around him so I just don't say it around him...

I think the meaning has changed for us growin' up because I never was around racism... I was ignorant to it... I thought the world was a happy place where everyone got along and that people are just different colors... the meaning now seems to basically mean either (A) a black dude, or (B) a friend...(blame Alcatraz for the multiple choice)...

Honestly, people are too sensitive... but I might be sensitive too if my race was enslaved, beaten, raped, murdered, etc., by the very race that is calling you the term used to describe the slaves...

I've been trying to tell people that for years. I guess it's going to take a higher leader to get their attention.

But this is how I see it: You have your niggers, your niggas, your africans, and your african americans. Niggers are the ignorant, unintelligent, and illiterate ones. Niggas are SORTA like niggas, but not as stupid. They also have good lives. And African Americans are just americans with a skin tone that matches an african. That's my assumption.

Some blacks are offended, some aren't... That part was somewhat answered with my second paragraph. Take a wild guess on which type of person would get offended the most if they were called a nigga/nigger by a person from a different race.

But honestly, It seriously is more like a fuckin' nickname or some shit to me 'cuz that's just how I grew up. No one said it in a discriminating way around me. I listened to rap and heard them people sayin' it, so it was like, "Okay, they say it... so I can say it." But then some people get all offended because I'm white... I can't say it... well that's bullshit... We're all people so a racial slur is just somethin' I use whenever I'm pissed off... really, it means nothing... discriminating on one's race is just ignorant and stupid...

SOOO... if someone's offended by it, hand'em a tissue, unless it's somethin' degrading... then whoop their ass.. other than that... chillax...
